Een Masai Mara gamedrive is een opwindend avontuur door een van Afrika's meest iconische natuurreservaten. Onder leiding van ervaren gidsen doorkruisen bezoekers uitgestrekte savannes, dichte bossen en rivierhabitats op zoek naar de Big Five (leeuw, luipaard, buffel, olifant en neushoorn), samen met tal van andere soorten zoals giraffen, zebra's en gnoes. Het landschap biedt adembenemende uitzichten op glooiende heuvels en de Mara-rivier, waar tijdens de Grote Migratie (juli tot oktober) miljoenen gnoes en zebra's elkaar kruisen in een dramatisch vertoon van de kracht van de natuur. Game drives omvatten doorgaans stops voor het bekijken van dieren in het wild, fotografie en bevatten vaak een picknick of sundowner om de safari-ervaring te midden van de adembenemende Afrikaanse wildernis te maximaliseren.

Our 3-day Masai Mara safari with LISAM Tours Kenya was an incredible adventure that my friends and I will cherish forever. The entire experience was seamless, from booking to the journey itself. Day 1: We were picked up in Nairobi early in the morning, and our guide immediately set the tone with his enthusiasm and knowledge. The drive to Masai Mara was long but scenic, with a stop for a quick lunch and some beautiful photo opportunities along the way. On arrival, we were welcomed warmly at our camp, which was simple but comfortable, offering a true safari vibe. The evening game drive gave us our first glimpse of Masai Mara’s magic, with sightings of antelopes, zebras, and a stunning sunset. Day 2: This was the highlight of our trip! The early morning drive was unforgettable—we saw a cheetah stalking its prey and a group of lions resting after a hunt. Our guide had an amazing ability to locate wildlife, and he shared fascinating stories about the animals and their behaviors. The picnic lunch near the Mara River, with views of hippos and crocodiles, was an incredible experience. We spent the afternoon exploring different parts of the park, where we spotted giraffes, warthogs, and hundreds of wildebeests. Day 3: On our final morning, we went on a short game drive and were lucky to see a leopard—an amazing way to end the safari! The drive back to Nairobi was bittersweet, but the memories we made were worth every minute. What We Loved: Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience feel personal. The game drives were well-planned and packed with wildlife sightings. The camp staff were accommodating and served delicious meals. Things to Note: The drive to Masai Mara is long and bumpy, so pack snacks and stay hydrated. Bring a good pair of walking shoes for exploring the camp area.
