- Kledingstandaard: tijdens het bezoeken van tempels moeten zowel mannelijke als vrouwelijke bezoekers zich respectvol en op uw gemak kleden, we raden ten zeerste bescheiden kleding aan. Dit betekent kleding die je schouders en knieën bedekt. Losse, lichtgewicht, lange kleding is zowel respectvol als koel in het overwegend warme Aziatische klimaat. Comfortabele schoenen zijn een must. De Apsara-autoriteit die het park beheert, behoudt zich het recht voor om gasten die kleding dragen die als onfatsoenlijk wordt beschouwd, de toegang tot bepaalde delen van het terrein te weigeren.
- Het kan erg heet worden als je door het tempelcomplex loopt, dus zorg ervoor dat je altijd water en geschikte huidbescherming bij je hebt, inclusief zonnekreten en muggenspray. In de stad kun je sun scream en muggenspray kopen.

We spent a wonderful 3 days touring the ancient cities of Angkor Wat, Koulen National Park and Tonle Sap Lake with our fantastic tour guide Veasna and Pu Tha, our trusted driver. Veasna was very knowledgeable, informative, interesting, engaging, kind, and above all funny throughout the 3 day tour. We enjoyed all his hilarious food stories and lovely stories from his childhood in Cambodia in particular. Thanks to Veasna we developed a deep appreciation of Cambodia’s history and its people. Veasna and Pu Tha were very organised at getting us to the historic sites on time to be beat the crowds, ensuring we had the best conditions to see the sights. Veasna took some amazing photos for us at just the right places. The tour itself was expertly put together, just the right amount of temples, breaks and transfer times. Cold water and cold towels were provided at all times which helped us a lot coping with the heat and also tasting locally produced palm cakes was a culinary highlight of our holidays. Not to be missed!!! I can highly recommend booking Asean Angkor Guides and especially Veasna and Pu Tha. They are a fantastic team!

I cannot say enough great things about Veasna, our guide. He was darling and thrilled to share his country with us. I’ll be recommending him to all my friends. Our 3-day private group tour was a fantastic, once in a lifetime experience. We saw Angkor Wat at sunrise, explored that and many other temples, fed and walked with elephants at a preserve, swam at a gorgeous waterfall, learned about Cambodian culture and customs, visited a local handicrafts market and palm cake bakery (don’t miss that), and so much more. Our driver, Sophal, did a wonderful job too, pampering us with cold towels and water at every stop. Before the trip, I read that 3 days was enough at Angkor Wat. This is not our group’s experience. We could easily have spent a full week exploring more things in the Siem Reap area. Be ready to sweat; it is totally worth it.

This was one of the best vacations we have had and a big part of that was choosing the very best guide. Cambodia’s history is complex and full of beauty and tragedy. Veasna revealed so much for us while keeping us as comfortable as possible as we spent days in hot ruins and villages. I wonder if there is another country undergoing such a rebirth. Veasna’s knowledge of the archeological and natural elements of this community were matched by his comfortable communication and apparent joy in sharing his community. The logistics of the tour exceeded our expectations. I’m too lazy to write many reviews, but I really hope more people will visit this amazing place and when they do, I hope they have such a great experience.

My husband and I were lucky enough to be assigned Sean as our tour guide and Mr. Tha as our driver. They are 3 long days but absolutely worth it! Got to see absolutely breathtaking temples, waterfalls, a really impressive floating village, beautiful sunsets and of course, sunrise at Angkor Wat (be prepared for a really early morning!) Sean was a wealth of information about the history of Cambodia, temples, Buddhism, Hinduism and so much more. Sean was patient with us as we took a lot of pictures and he was helpful with taking pictures of us. Mr. Tha expertly drove us everywhere safely and always had cold bottles of water and refreshing cold washcloths infused with lemongrass to help cool us down. If you get Sean and Mr. Tha, you'll be in great hands!

We had an amazing experience with our tour guide Seila & driver Leap. They made our trip in Siam Reap so wonderful. Seila was so detailed in his explanation of Cambodia history & our driver Leap was always ready to hand out cold towels & cold water to us when we returned to the van. The tour was amazing. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The driver was also very good and always there with cold water or a towel. The itinerary is quite physically demanding especially in the heat. Wear sensible shoes ! Our guide helped us make the best photos and helped when the terrain got tough. Really recommend this tour
