Beschrijving
Het wildreservaat Maasai Mara is het beste reservaat van Kenia voor zijn natuurreservaat. Het park heeft door de jaren heen meer dan 450 diersoorten, waaronder de grote vijf die leeuw, olifant, neushoorn, luipaard, buffel is. Het is het enige reservaat dat beroemd is om zijn gnoes en zebra-migratie naar Serengeti of vanuit Serengeti. De migratie gebeurt normaal van juni tot september. Er is ook het hele jaar door in het wild levende dieren in deze vlakten. De beroemde Maasai-stamleden wonen in het verspreidingsgebied van het wildreservaat. Het landschap van dit reservaat is schilderachtig savannegrasland op glooiende heuvels, het fotografievriendelijke gebied. Het heeft een nijlpaardzwembad waar nijlpaarden en krokodillen worden bekeken.
