Tijdens de Renaissance was het de residentie van de Milanese hertog Ludovico Sforza. Leonardo werkte er als militair en burgerlijk ingenieur en pas later als kunstenaar. Hij schilderde het beschilderde plafond van de "Sala delle Asse", een combinatie van een naturalistische weergave met een sterke symboliek.
De kerk van Santa Maria delle Grazie is een van de mooiste Italiaanse kerken en typerend voor de laatgotische architectuur van Milaan. Het werd gebouwd door de Dominicanen 1463-1482. In de jaren 1495-1498 schilderde Leonardo da Vinci de beroemde muurschildering "Het Laatste Avondmaal" in de refter van de monniken.
De verborgen en prachtige kerk van San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore is een spectaculaire Renaissance kerk gebouwd in 1503 op basis van een project van Giovanni Giacomo Dolcebuono. Deze kerk herbergt verschillende fresco’s en foto’s en dankzij dat is het de “Sistijnse Kapel van Milaan” genoemd.
Vlak achter de banketbakkerij Marchesi 1824 op de Corso Magenta bevinden zich de ruïnes van het Romeinse keizerlijke paleis in Milaan waar keizer Maximianus in 286 na Christus verbleef.
In het hart van de "milanese Wall Srreet", werd het prachtige paleis van de Banca d'Italia gebouwd in 1907 naar ontwerp van architect Luigi Broggi (1861-1926) en Cesare Nava (1861-1933) geïnspireerd door de architectuur van de Vittoriano in Rome.
De Pinacoteca met een tentoonstelling van tekeningen uit de Codex Atlanticus, de grootste collectie tekeningen van Leonardo.

Het eerste ziekenhuis van Milaan, gesticht in 1456 door Francesco Sforza en momenteel de belangrijkste site van de Staatsuniversiteit.
(Vanaf via Larga gezien) Met zijn 157 meter lange en 92 meter brede Duomo di Milano is het een van de grootste katholieke kerken ter wereld. De plaats waar de kathedraal zich momenteel bevindt, werd vroeger ingenomen door de Basiliek van Sant’Ambrogio. In 838 werd de Basilica di Santa Tecla naast de eerste kerk gesticht, maar in 1075 verwoestte een brand beide gebouwen en enkele eeuwen later werd de Duomo op dezelfde locatie gevestigd. De bouw van de Dom van Milaan begon in 1386.

Luca was excellent. Very knowledgeable and a fantastic tour.
A fantastic introduction to Milan and a fun and engaging way to travel around the city centre. we booked the 2.30 pm tour. You can either meet them at the pick up point or if your hotel is in central Milan they will pick you up. Luca was a fantastic host and car number 4 a 1972 red Fiat looked great. The Fiat drew lots of comments from people. Would recommend this to all as a great way to learn about the city, experience travel in a small fun car.

You drive around the best parts of Milan and Luka, an amazing tour guide in a lovely little red Fiat tells you all these interesting facts in such an interesting way. His English is great, his driving skills are great, his conversational skills are great. He's a great dude. I would highly suggest this tour to any couple or solo traveler looking for some extra fun and most importantly more information about the city itself. Highly recommend. we had an amazing time, bit squishy but that was the fun in the experience. Lucca our driver was fantastic and a lot of fun. Thank you, Lucca, for a wonderful experience looking at the sites of Milan, Italy. You were a wealth of knowledge and explained a lot. The Cathedral in Duomo was the most exquisite cathedral we have ever seen. An experience we would definitely recommend.

We just got back from a wonderful tour of Milan with Luca in the fabulous red vintage Fiat. As we were travelling throughout the city, many people waved and loved seeing the Fiat which created a great atmosphere. Luca stopped for us to walk around and made sure we got lots of photo's. So knowledgeable and we shared lots of laughs. My daughter and I are only in Milan for 2 days so this was the perfect way to get lots of history in just 2 hours and also a dinner recommendation! We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Luca and if you're short on time it's the perfect introduction to Milan.

It’s a very very tiny car, just be advised, but it was still awesome! There’s no way it would hold three and be even remotely comfortable as it was I had to sit sideways. If your good with that it is a fantastic tour and Luca was so nice!
