Deze Atlanta food experience wil je niet missen. In slechts twee uur tijd proef je heerlijke proeverijen van 4 voedselverkopers op de oudste markt van Atlanta en word je zuidelijke koks met een hands-on Atlanta kookles. Je leert de fascinerende geschiedenis van Atlanta kennen en krijgt een kijkje in de zuidelijke keuken en het beroemdste voedsel van Georgia, waaronder perziken, kragen en pecannoten. En je zult het heerlijk vinden om te leren hoe je het perfecte zuidelijke koekje maakt. In december maak je leuke met sneeuwpoppen versierde koekjes!

I was gifted the Atlanta Historic Market & Biscuit Making Tour for my birthday, and it was absolutely FANTASTIC! As a native Atlantan, I was amazed by how interesting the tour was and how much unknown history I learned about a place I've visited countless times with my grandmother and father. The stories and historical insights gave me a whole new appreciation for a market that has always been special to me. In addition to the history, you get to enjoy delicious treats from several of the market's vendors and learn how to make amazing biscuits! The biscuit-making class was especially meaningful because I never learned how to make my grandmother's biscuits before she passed away. Thanks to Unexpected Atlanta Tours and Kristen, I finally learned the techniques—and I now feel like a biscuit-making expert! Kristen was an outstanding tour guide. She was warm, friendly, knowledgeable, engaging, and so much fun—everything you could hope for in a guide. This experience was truly one of the best birthday gifts I've ever received. 10 out of 10—I absolutely recommend Unexpected Atlanta Tours!

Kristen was a wonderful tour guide. We learned about the history of the market as well as the history of bread. The foods we sampled were delicious as well as the biscuits she taught us to bake.
We came to Atlanta to visit family and we came into the biscuit tour and it was so much fun Market our God was Kristen and she was excellent. The hands-on biscuit making us so much fun. She was so personable and incredible job. I definitely recommend other people visit in Atlanta.

We spent two hours discovering the history of the Municipal Market. Ariel, our tour guide, gave us a thorough history and tour of the market with a tasting of local market fare. It was delicious! I make my travel plans based upon food destinations and this tour was definitely worthwhile and I highly recommend this for anyone interested in a food tasting of Atlanta soul food. The tour highlight was a biscuit making session. This turned out to be a very fun experience and the biscuits turned out beautifully.
