We maken twee geweldige duiken om de riffen van het Cozumel National Park te verkennen en kennis te maken met al het dierenleven dat we hier aantreffen. Alles wat je nodig hebt om van het avontuur te genieten is inbegrepen: complete uitrusting, een gids en eten tussen de duiken :) Voor ons is het belangrijkste dat we met kleine groepen nauw contact hebben en dat de veiligheid en het comfort van iedereen gewaarborgd zijn. Er is altijd één gids per 4 personen.

My husband and I had 2 excellent dives with Manuela in Santa Rosa and Paradiso where we saw many fishes, turtles, and sharks. They were truly amazing. Communication was good as Manuela contacted us when our cruise ship docked and met us at the marina. She gave us a refresh on our equipment and other skills (our last dives were more than 12 months ago). She gave me tips on buoyancy which I usually struggled with, and they worked like charms! She even drove us back to the cruise ship terminal Puerta Maya. We really appreciated her. The captain and the crew members were also attentive. I'll definitely dive with Medusas again when I'm in Cozumel.

Bad experience, I don't think they're qualified to certify Of three people two were lost, the instructor zero awareness of the gravity she could cause, one person was lost and two dives later another! Never got us all to have buoyancy, didn't follow the course instructions In darkness he only lowered us with 1 lamp. We never felt safe. We hired the Photo Service, and I only download it on 1 occasion because the others I lend to other divers. Bad experience I DON'T RECOMMEND THEM!

Durante el curso de Advanced, dos de las participantes perdieron el control de flotabilidad y ascendieron a la superficie en diferentes inmersiones. En ambos casos, la instructora reaccionó en cuanto notó la situación, la localizo y se aseguró de que se encontraba a salvo en la superficie. Entendemos que esto generó preocupación en el grupo y lamentamos que no se hayan sentido seguras en ese momento. En cuanto a la flotabilidad, es una habilidad que se trabaja desde el curso de Open Water y se refuerza en el nivel Advanced. Aunque fue practicada previamente, entendemos que pueden presentarse pérdidas de control. La instructora está atenta para asistir, pero hay situaciones que ocurren en segundos y no siempre es posible intervenir antes de que un buzo ascienda. Por eso es fundamental que los buzos certificados reconozcan estos momentos y actúen rápidamente, desinflando el chaleco. En este nivel, se espera cierto grado de autonomía, sin que eso quite responsabilidad al instructor, ya que siempre debe estar para formar y cuidar al grupo. Sobre el buceo nocturno, es importante aclarar que cada alumna tenía su propia linterna, como requiere el estándar de seguridad. La instructora lleva lámpara adicional por si alguna falla, y ese protocolo se aplicó correctamente. En ningún momento se hizo una inmersión con una sola luz para todo el grupo. En cuanto al servicio de fotografía, reconocemos que hubo un error de logística: en una salida, la cámara asignada fue utilizada por otro instructor debido a un ajuste operativo de fallo de cámara. No fue un tema de “prestar cámaras a otros buzos”, sino una decisión puntual que lamentablemente afectó la cobertura de fotos para su grupo, por lo cual asumimos la responsabilidad y les pedimos una enorme disculpa, ya que en esta salida no pudimos captar los recuerdos de su buceo. Lamentamos sinceramente que no te sintieras segura ni satisfecha con el curso. Apreciamos tus comentarios y seguiremos trabajando para mejorar la experiencia de nuestros estudiantes. We came in a cruise. We booked the dive based on the ship itinerary provided. We had everything set up in advance. Pick up points etc. We were first off ship and dashed to meetup point. Nobody was there. We called them and were told we missed the boat and the waited. It turns out ship time was different than local time. I’ve since learned tour companies in cruise ship ports know ship times and have software that allows them to know when the ships are in. The lack of preparedness on the businesses part is the reason the bad review. Medusas dive shop. We will be back to Cozumel. We will not book with medusas dive shop again. We likely won’t be use Viator either and instead call local companies directly.

We're truly sorry for the frustration and disappointment you experienced — we understand how important every moment is when you're on a cruise schedule. We’d like to clarify that we were expecting you and tried reaching out by phone multiple times while our team waited at the meeting point for over 45 minutes. Unfortunately, we never received a response and, due to operational constraints, we had to proceed with the dive to avoid affecting other guests’ experience. As with all our excursions, our meeting times are based on local Cozumel time, which is stated in the confirmation details. While we understand that ship time can differ, we always recommend verifying the time difference ahead of arrival, as it can vary depending on cruise lines and dates. We appreciate your suggestion and will continue to look for ways to improve communication, especially with cruise passengers. The reefs are great and service is top notch. There was a bit of a language barrier and I felt like I had more of a dive partner than a dive guide.

Great diving with Medusas! They are very professional, safe and fun. I highly recommend them! Please note the start and end is at the small boat marina on the South side of Cozumel, not at their shop in the city. They said they would update their listing on Viator.

We chose this over the cruise line offering due to the small group size with a dive master. The dive shop reached out quickly to collect pics of our dive cards and have us sign the dive standard paperwork. We communicated we were on a cruise and they asked and took note of the disembark and embarkation time to ensure no issues and finally made themselves available for questions. One thing to note, communication was via WhatsApp. A few days before the dive my wife had a minor ear injury but waited till the morning of the dive to have looked at. They accommodated a slightly late arrival after my wife got the all clear and throughout the dive checked on her ears. Next time I am in Cozumel I will be diving with them again.
