Tijdens deze tour lopen we door de meest emblematische hoekjes van Cádiz en vertel ik je de fascinerende geschiedenis verborgen in de oudste stad van het Westen, verlevendigd met nieuwsgierige verhalen en anekdotes uit de stad. In deze 2,5 uur leer je hoe je het huis van een Indiase schipper kunt identificeren, ontdek je enkele pareltjes van ons erfgoed verborgen in het volle zicht en ontdek je waarom Cádiz de enige stad in Spanje was waar Napoleon niet mocht komen, onder andere! Vanaf ons ontmoetingspunt naast het stadhuis, op Plaza San Juan de Dios, laat ik u op een dynamische en onderhoudende manier door onze 3000 jaar geschiedenis leiden, zodat u Cádiz vandaag de dag beter kunt leren kennen en de leidende rol die we in het verleden hebben gespeeld, en een speciale stop kunt maken om te praten over "La Pepa", de eerste Spaanse grondwet van 1812.

Dit is het startpunt waar we zullen beginnen met een korte uitleg over de geschiedenis van Cádiz en de eerste beschavingen die hier wonen.
We bezoeken het middeleeuwse gebied en de oudste wijk van Cádiz genaamd "Pópulo", die werd gebouwd in de XIII eeuw en waar we een aantal belangrijke erfgoed vinden, zoals het Romeinse theater, het oudste koopmanshuis en de oude kathedraal
In deze stop zien we de hoofdgevel van de nieuwe kathedraal in Cádiz en leer je over de bouw ervan
Ik zal je een van de favoriete plekken van de lokale bevolking laten zien, namelijk de versmarkt. Ik zal een tijd nemen om te praten over de lokale gastronomie en ik zal u een paar aanbevelingen geven.
We bezoeken de Merchant's wijk, de mooiste en meest luxe straten in Cádiz. Je leert hoe je het huis van een koopman herkent en welke het gebruik van elke verdieping is.
Onze laatste stop in Plaza de España. Je leert over een van de belangrijkste momenten van Cádiz, en waarom het de enige vrije stad op Spanje was toen Napoleon ons land binnenviel.

Booking was a bit of a faff and the ticket delivery on poor WiFi is a hassle BUT the Tour was brilliant! V was an excellent tour guide - informative, interesting and full of useful info. Well paced in the summer heat of Cádiz. All round a good intro to this interesting city.

When we visit a new place, we normally sign up for a walking tour to get into the spirit of the place, and it was an excellent decision with our visit to Cádiz. Cadiz is a small city with lots of interesting history. Our guide, Victoria, was terrific. She kept control of the group while navigating the various sites and gave us lots of extra information like places to eat and mingle with locals. We learned so much more than we could have on our own, and enjoyed the company of other travelers.

Good guide but sometimes explanation in the sun
