2 - Dag Wildlife Safari naar Lake Mburo National Park
Beschrijving
Je begint je reis door van Kampala naar Lake Mburo National Park te rijden, wat ongeveer 4 - 5 uur duurt. Onderweg stop je bij de Uganda Equator, een speciale lijn die de aarde in de noordelijke en zuidelijke helften verdeelt. Hier kun je met één voet in elke helft staan, foto's maken en kijken hoe water aan elke kant van de lijn anders draait. U kunt ook kleine winkels bezoeken om lokale ambachten te kopen. Na deze stop gaat u verder naar uw lodge. Later ga je op een avond game drive om dieren als zebra's, impala's, buffels, wrattenzwijnen en misschien zelfs luipaarden of hyena's te zien. Op de tweede dag, na het ontbijt, kies je ervoor om te fietsen op speciale paden in het park of een begeleide wandeling te maken met een ranger. Beide manieren laten je dicht bij dieren zoals giraffen, zebra's en antilopen komen terwijl je leert over de planten en dieren om je heen. Na de ochtend activiteit keert u terug naar de lodge voor de lunch en begint u aan de rit terug naar Entebbe of Kampala

Friendly guide, unforgettable abundance of beautiful animals, accommodation in a tent with climatic restaurant. Nice food and sharing the culture. I was taken care of on every step. My advice if you are visiting on low season you will feel luxurious! :)

It was a great time during the two days at Lake Mburo NP. On our way to the park we stopped at the equator to get the effects of changing from one hemisphere to the other one shown. Even before entering the park we could see the first zebras. Then in the park the walking safari was great because the ranger made it possible that you can walk just next to giraffes. The night game drive was fun although you are not seeing as many animals as during the night because there is only the rangers spotlight. We were happy because we got the chance to see a whole herd of hyenas. The cycling safari the next morning was wonderful. You are just riding in the middle of antelopes, zebras, warthogs or giraffes. Also the stay at Rwakobo Rock was beautiful with its cottages and of course the nice view from the hill.
