We zullen je een weg banen naar het historische centrum van Rome. Je eerste stop is bij het Nationaal Monument van Vittorio Emanuele II op het prachtige Piazza Venezia.
Je zult nergens anders een plek vinden die de immer veranderende en ongelooflijke kracht van water zoals Rome viert. De Trevifontein is een fantastisch kunstwerk dat veel meer is dan alleen een sculptuur.
Het Romeinse Pantheon is het monument met het grootste aantal records: de best bewaarde, met de grootste bakstenen koepel in de geschiedenis van de architectuur en wordt beschouwd als de voorloper van alle moderne erediensten. Het is de meest gekopieerde en geïmiteerde van alle oude werken.
Op het meest opvallende plein van de barok in Rome staat Bernini's Fontein van Rivieren in het midden, tegenover de kerk van Borromini, Sant 'Agnese in Agone.
De Piazza di Spagna (Engels: plein van Spanje) is een van de meest gerenommeerde pleinen van Rome. De naam komt van het Palazzo di Spagna, de zetel van de Spaanse ambassade voor het Vaticaan op dit plein sinds de zeventiende eeuw.
De Vaticaanse Musea, gelegen in de staat Vaticaanstad, zijn opgenomen in de lijst van de belangrijkste musea ter wereld en het bezoeken ervan vormt een essentieel podium voor diegenen die Rome bezoeken. In de Vaticaanse Musea vinden we nu de collecties die de pausen in de loop van de tijd hebben verzameld, naast de grote meesterwerken aller tijden die het kostbare getuigenis van een tijdperk zijn geworden.
De Sixtijnse Kapel is een van de grootste schatten van Vaticaanstad, van Rome en van de wereld in het algemeen. Het staat zowel bekend om zijn versiering als om de tempel waarin pausen worden gekozen en gekroond. Enkele van de belangrijkste kunstenaars die in de kapel hebben gewerkt, zijn Botticelli, Perugino, Luca en Michelangelo.
Het Romeinse forum was de plaats waar het religieuze en openbare leven in het oude Rome plaatsvond. Het Forum is, samen met het Colosseum, het grootste teken van de pracht van het Romeinse rijk dat vandaag te zien is. Na de val van het rijk werd het Forum Romanum vergeten en beetje bij beetje werd het begraven onder de aarde. Hoewel in de 16e eeuw het bestaan en de locatie van het Forum al bekend was, werden er pas in de 20e eeuw opgravingen gedaan. Interessant genoeg was de plaats waar het Forum werd gebouwd oorspronkelijk een moerassig gebied. In de 6e eeuw voor Christus het gebied werd drooggelegd door de Cloaca Maxima, een van de eerste rioolstelsels ter wereld. Punten van belang
De Capitoline-heuvel is de kleinste en belangrijkste van de zeven heuvels van het oude Rome. Als het politieke en religieuze hart van Rome werd de heuvel een symbool van het bewind van Rome als Caput Mundi, de hoofdstad van de wereld. Tegenwoordig symboliseert de heuvel nog steeds het hart van Rome en het is het perfecte startpunt voor een bezoek aan de Eeuwige Stad.

I cannot say enough positive things about this company and Jany, who assisted us throughout the planning process. Jany was incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful every step of the way. Even after we arrived in Rome, we were pleasantly surprised to receive prompt responses to our questions over the weekend. Our Vatican tour guide, Chiara, was outstanding—after just three hours, it felt as though we were touring with a member of the family. Having a tour guide made all the difference. Her extensive knowledge and 17 years of experience provided a depth of insight that greatly enhanced our experience. Peter, our private driver and tour guide, was equally exceptional. His expertise, professionalism, and personable nature made our experience truly unforgettable. Our driver, Vlad, from Rome to Civitavecchia Port was incredibly understanding when he learned that the airline had lost our luggage. He graciously allowed us to make a brief stop at a store near the port so we could pick up a few essential items before boarding our cruise. His flexibility and kindness during a stressful situation were greatly appreciated. I highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to use their services again.

Rome in limo does the best tours. Our tour guide Peter was great, very knowledgeable, tailored our itinerary to what we wanted to see. Worth the price.

Rome in Limo was great and worked with us to do Rome in 1 day (rather than 2) since we were tight on time. Our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable. They also hooked us up with a private guide for the Vatican which was worth every penny. Would book through them again in a heart beat!

Our lecture guide, Barbara, was excellent. She was friendly, professional, and knew others that enhanced our experience. Our driver, Francisco, ensured that we were dropped off and picked up in safe locations very close to each site. They were outstanding.

I can see why Rome In Limo has over 5,000 reviews and 5 stars. We were a group of 16 adults traveling through Italy. For our 3 days in Rome we hooked up with RomeInLimo for 2 days with 2 van drivers and the walking tour at the vatican. Nick and Maurice were our drivers - highly suggest you ask for them and let them pick the lunch spots. They were amazing. Jany in the office was fantastic as we worked through some changes in guests. The tour guides Barbara and Tanya were fantastic. We also worked out a 3 hour night tour in the vans in addition to the 2 day tours. Again highly recommend a night tour. These people are the best and you will not be disappointed.

We had Stephan for a driver and guide , he was wonderful. He was so very knowledgeable with all his art history experience. We went all over Rome for at least 6 hours. Stephan was very pleasant and interesting . I would highly recommend using him for your Romeinlimo experience!

Having only two days we wanted to make the most of our visit. This was definitely worth it! Not only is it nice to have a private van driving you around; but more importantly is the tour guide. Our guide, Peter, made our experience so much more enriching. Peter gave us the background and context of all the sites. He also took us to an off-the-beaten path places. In addition to Peter, we had Maximo, as our tour guide for the Vatican. He was hilarious in addition to his deep knowledge of everything Vatican. Highly recommended Romeinlimo

Such an amazing two days in Rome. There were 6 of us and we did a private tour of the Vatican with Massimo on Saturday, the 21st, and a full day Rome tour with Nick on Sunday. We hated to leave either of them. They both filled us with so much history, humor and true compassion for their jobs.

So let me start by saying the beginning of our trip to Italy was horrible. The airlines, the whole horrible, what you would expect experience. Once we arrived at FCO though, we were picked up by our driver (after having to shift our experience to an evening one, due to the airlines) and it really saved the day!!! Not only did this organization save the day, they set the tone for the rest of the trip. We did a 10 day Med cruise, and at every port (4-5), we utilized this company. EACH and every time, the experience was met with professionalism, knowledge and elegance. We have been home less then 36 hours and we have recommended this company to several friends who will be traveling to Italy soon. I cannot impress the amount of detail and satisfaction we had with this company and the drivers. A true 1st class experience. I would recommend this group to anyone wanting a truly memorable time, in a safe and VIP capacity.
