De beste manier om te dineren in Portland, Oregon - aan de Willamette-rivier, versterkt door oogverblindende bezienswaardigheden en lichten in de stad. Je zult genieten van een avond met Noordwest-gerechten (lokaal geproduceerd en vers bereid aan boord), live pianomuziek en verhalen over de bezienswaardigheden op de buitendekken. Deze twee en een half uur durende cruise op de Willamette-rivier is perfect voor zowel inwoners van Portland als nieuwkomers. Vaartuig is aan verandering onderhevig.

Bord De Portlandgeest
De Hawthorne, gebouwd in 1910, is de oudste verticale hefbrug in gebruik in Amerika. In een typisch jaar, dagelijks verkeer op de Hawthorne Bridge gemiddeld 30.000 voertuigen en 5.000 fietsers.
Reis onder de Interstate 5 brug ook wel bekend als Marquam Bridge. De hoofdoverspanning van de Marquambrug is 440 voet lang en de twee zijoverspanningen zijn elk 301 voet lang.
Cruise per OMSI en bekijk de USS Blueback, een barbelklasse onderzeeër bij de Amerikaanse marine.
Tilikum Crossing, de nieuwste brug van Portland, is in 2015 geopend voor voet-, fiets- en openbaar vervoer. De brug is voorzien van 178 LED-lampen die zijn ingesteld om van kleur en snelheid te veranderen volgens de temperatuur van het water, de richting van het getij en de snelheid van de rivier.
Je passeert onder de Ross Island Bridge, ontworpen door de beroemde ingenieur Gustav Lindernthal. Gustav ontwierp bruggen over de Hudson in Ohio en tientallen andere rivieren in de Verenigde Staten.
Rondvaart door het oudste continu werkende attractiepark van het land. Oaks Amusement Park werd geopend in mei 1905 en ligt op slechts 5 km ten zuiden van Downtown Portland.
Je gaat onder de Sellwood Bridge door, Portlands meest zuidelijke brug. De brug is de drukste tweebaansovergang in Oregon, met ongeveer 30.000 voertuigen per dag. Het verving een oorspronkelijk in 1925 gebouwde tweebaansbrug die meer dan 90 jaar heeft gestaan.
Dit 7 hectare grote park is een paradijs voor hondenliefhebbers met zijn loslopende hondengedeelte en zandstranden.
Cruise door Waverley Country Club, een van de eerste golfclubs in het westen, opgericht in 1896. Vijftig jaar voor de bouw van de Waverley Country Club op de huidige locatie, kan de geschiedenis worden teruggevoerd naar Henderson Luelling, bekend als de Johnny Appleseed of the West. Velen geloven dat de presentatie van het groene jasje op de Masters begon in Waverley.
Het eiland vertegenwoordigt een deel van een oude vulkaan die ongeveer 40 miljoen jaar geleden uitbarstte. De grote, grillige rotsen die in het hele gebied worden gevonden zijn Waverly Heights Basalt die door lavastromen zijn gevormd en mogelijk de oudste blootgestelde rotsen in de omgeving van Portland zijn. Alleen tijdens de dinner cruise kun je dit eiland van dichtbij bekijken als we er langs komen op weg naar Lake Oswego.
Lake Oswego is een plaats (city) in de Amerikaanse staat Clackamas County, en valt bestuurlijk gezien onder Washington County.
Foothills park werd voltooid in 2005 en is uitgegroeid tot een van Lake Oswego's belangrijkste parken aan de rivier.
Cruise onder de Morrison Bridge, vernoemd naar een Schotse immigrant, John L. Morrison, die het eerste huis op Morrison Street bouwde.
We draaien ons om bij de Steel Bridge voordat we teruggaan naar het dok. De stalen brug is heel opmerkelijk vanwege al zijn ontwerpkenmerken. Het is 's werelds enige dubbeldeksbrug met onafhankelijke liften.
Cruise onder de Burnside Bridge, onderscheidend voor zijn Italiaanse torens in Renaissance-stijl en werd beroemd door zijn architect Joseph Straus, die ook de architect was voor de beroemde Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
De Burnside Bridge is een geweldige plek om het bord "Portland Oregon" te bekijken, ook bekend als het bord "White Stag", dat we aan bakboordzijde van het schip passeren.
Cruise door een groot deel van Tom McCall Waterfront Park dat 36 hectare open ruimte heeft en het hele jaar door een verscheidenheid aan evenementen organiseert.
Op de campus van Rose Quarter bevinden zich het Veterans Memorial Coliseum en Moda Center. Het Moda Center heeft een capaciteit van bijna 20.000 zitplaatsen voor NBA basketbalwedstrijden en is de huidige thuisbasis van de Portland Trailblazers.
Het Oregon Convention Center is gemakkelijk te herkennen vanaf het water door zijn twee blauwgroene glazen spitsen.

Great cruise and food. Smooth ride; Photo option prior to boarding. $20 optional photo purchase. The steelhead and cherry -yaki w/ the mashed potatoes was top tier! The French & Espresso Martini drinks were delicious. Great bartender! Brad was our server, friendly and great service energy. Great teamwork in customer service. Views were great with a beautiful sunset. The option to go out to the side of the boats was great! I wish on the inside area they would provide a speaker on the route but the map provided was suitable. The piano experience could be adjusted to maybe a saxophonist or violinist. 10/10 Recommend stop if in the PNW.
A lovely experience. Such a nice way to see the city from the ship and enjoy a delicious meal. Service was great and very welcoming atmosphere. Thoroughly delighted with my selection to do in Portland.

The food was wonderful with many options for main course. I had the lamb and my husband had braised boneless ribs. Both were excellent and well prepared. Our waiter Jeff was very informative as well as a great waiter. The sights are very nice and lots of beautiful homes. If you see kids out by the shore be prepared for their version of entertainment! I’ll let you find that out on your own! I would highly recommend and if you have trouble with motion sickness you will be fine.

The dinner cruise had two levels with great views of the sites and many bridges along the river. Each floor had a piano player and plenty of friendly staff to serve food and drinks. We were able to walk around the upper deck outside which was nice. The food & drink variety was good and delicious.

Beautiful evening, great company, reasonably priced, very enjoyable. Food was ok, service was a little rough. It took nearly 45 minutes from the time we sat down for my girlfriend to get a cocktail, I even tried to go to bar and order, he took my order, left me standing there waiting for a few minutes, then told me he was too busy and to order from my server (whom after 30 minutes) we hadn’t met yet). I noticed quite a few other patrons looking around wondering if someone was taking care of them. It wasn’t an ordeal with us as we are very patient and enjoyed each others company, but I would suggest the server staff to acknowledge the guests in a timely manner and get those drink orders right away. Thats money right? We’d definitely do it again, spending time with each other on the river on a gorgeous night was definitely memorable!

All the crew and staff were helpful and friendly. Lacey was our server, and made the excursion exceptional. She was quick to meet our needs, she was cheerful and outgoing and knowledgeable. More excursions need employees like her. She was thorough ensuring that we had every thing we needed to make the excursion a once in a lifetime event. She also helped with dietary questions and issues.my wife has mobility challenges and I was going to push her up the ramp in a wheelchair, but the captain stepped in with a electric wheelchair mover, that moved her up the ramp (at low tide) easily.

It was a great cruise experience! The staff were very friendly and the pianist was so talented. The only con I would give is that everything was well done (guessing that everything was done ahead of time) so if you aren’t a fan of that I would look out for it. Other than that, I would recommend this experience to newcomers!
