Dit wandelavontuur begint vanuit je hotel op een meest unieke ontdekkings- en oriëntatietour die ooit door Parijs is aangeboden! Het wordt je 1e dag in Parijs-tour genoemd, omdat deze ervaring van meer dan 2 uur erop gericht is je vrijheid te bieden met kennis van hoe je Parijs kunt doen, terwijl je tegelijkertijd geniet van zoveel mogelijk bezienswaardigheden. Zoveel meer dan alleen feiten en cijfers, de tour dompelt je onder in de Parijse cultuur en geeft de bezoeker inzicht in hoe dingen werken, hoe je je kunt verplaatsen, welke gebieden veilig zijn, kaartjes kopen, in de bussen en metro rijden, jezelf beschermen tegen zakkenrollers , bestellen bij een café of een bakkerij. Natuurlijk krijg je geweldige sightseeing, vind je verborgen juweeltjes, schilderachtige buurten en passeer je de top-must-see monumenten, musea en parken in heel Parijs, waaronder de Eiffeltoren, Champs Elysées, Montmartre, Louvre, Marais, Opéra, Places, Notre-Dame, Jardin du Luxembourg, Montparnasse en meer.

Als we het hier redden, komen we in de oudste kerk van Parijs. En we passeren het beroemde café waar Emily in Paris en Hemingway hun warme chocolademelk drinken.
We verkennen verborgen juweeltjes die allemaal te maken hebben met het Quartier Latin. Afhankelijk van de tijd zullen we de beroemde cafés van Saint-Germain-des-Prés, de 1000 jaar oude kerk, middeleeuwse straten en monumenten, zelfs een Picasso-beeldhouwwerk, zien.
We stoppen voor een fotomoment terwijl we lopen en de oudste brug van Parijs oversteken en alle punten zien die dit deel van Parijs echt tot het hart van de stad maken.
We stoppen voor een fotomoment terwijl we van de linkeroever naar de rechteroever lopen en de beroemde kathedraal op het eiland zien. Als het over een jaar weer opengaat, gaan we er naar binnen.
Afhankelijk van de tijd bezoeken we deze buurt vanaf het Palais Royal, typische passages, restaurants, helemaal de Avenue naar de Opéra Garnier en daarachter naar de gevels en de dakterrassen van de grote warenhuizen van Le Printemps en de Galeries Lafayette.
De 2 uur durende Paris Discovery Orientation Tour neemt je mee waar je maar wilt, maar de tour kan ook een bezoek aan Montmartre omvatten, waar we in de resterende tijd zoveel mogelijk van het gebied zien.
We bezoeken de buitenkant van het museum met fotomomenten voor de glazen piramide en de Tuilerieën.

This was a great thing to do when we first arrived in Paris. He helped orient us to the metro, bus and subway. We discussed what we were visiting while in town and he helped us figure out all the best routes. We felt really confident the rest of the week navigating the city and meeting all our tour guides. He also told us some of the history of Paris as we walked around.

This helped me with confidence to explore Paris and feel secure about using the Metro. I was introduced to the various sections of Paris, how to use the ubiquitous maps for directions to travel the Metro and a great walk around the area I was staying in, the Marais. Thor was a great guide who showed us some of the many sites in Paris and got us familiar with the metro. He also explained cafe etiquette and some history as well as road rules. Highly recommend Thor and this tour for first timers to Paris!
