Een van de vele redenen waarom mensen Sri Lanka bezoeken, is vanwege de zeer diverse flora en fauna. Van flora tot fauna, veel soorten zijn alleen endemisch voor Sri Lanka. Veel mensen, zelfs de lokale bevolking, komen naar natuurreservaten en bossen om een glimp op te vangen van zeldzame wezens voor misschien een keer in hun hele leven. Er zijn veel natuurreservaten en heiligdommen in Sri Lanka om de dieren in het wild te beschermen tegen menselijke belangen die de dieren kunnen schaden, waaronder stropen. Bezoekers zijn toegestaan in deze reservaten waar u safaritrips kunt maken met een getrainde gids die door de reservisten zelf wordt verstrekt.

We have just completed our 2 week adventure around the beautiful country of Sri Lanka, thanks to Aaliyah Tours and Mr Ahmed Muzny, our wonderful tour guide and driver. From the first contact, communication with Aaliyah was outstanding. They always responded quickly and clearly to all of our questions and requests to make a perfect tour full of nature, wildlife, adventures and relaxation tailored to our specific needs and requests. This gave us confidence and helped us to feel safe in their hands whilst travelling with our two children aged 9 and 11. In the planning, the lead up to departure, to checking in with us during the tour, they kept in touch throughout to ensure a smooth journey. The hotels were beyond our expectations and the kids loved the anticipation of where we’re going to next, and we were never disappointed. The people, the food and comfort all made us feel very well looked after. We feel like we have Our driver, Mr Ahmed Muzny was a true gentleman. He not only drove us where ever we wanted to go (even if not specifically on the itinerary) but had a wealth of knowledge about Sri Lanka and we learnt so much on our travels. He treated us to local delights and snacks, kept us topped up with water, and adjusted the itinerary at our request without hesitation. He organised activities and helped us to purchase tickets and often accompanied us which was a huge relief and help, which made us feel very confident and safe. He was always punctual and polite and the kids loved him. We felt lucky to have him, thank you Ahmed you have helped us to make memories to last a lifetime. Sri Lanka is a beautiful country with beautiful people and if you want a bespoke tour, I highly recommend Aaliyah and Mr Muzny.
