Dit is een privé tour alleen voor jou met rond en privé vervoer. Wij gebruiken busje na 4 personen. Deze arcaheologische zone ligt op 1 uur van Mexico-stad en het is werelderfgoed. Teotihuacan (100 v.Chr. - 800 n.Chr.) is een van de belangrijkste steden van Amerika en een van de meest prominente culturen in de universele geschiedenis met sterke invloed. Je bezoekt deze prehispanic overblijfselen die eeuwen voor het Azteekse rijk zijn gemaakt in Tenochtitlán (de eigenlijke Mexico-stad). Dit is een verbazingwekkende en magische archeologische zone met 3 verbazingwekkende piramides en een klein museum. De Piramide van de Zon is de 8e grootste ter wereld. Deze prehispanic stad bereikte zijn maximumpracht ongeveer tussen 200 - 400 AD en het strekte zich uit over 2000 hectare, met een geschatte bevolking van 120 000 inwoners. Teotihuacan was de grootste stad in Meso-Amerika en de belangrijkste voor de handel. Teotihuacan is zonder twijfel een voorbeeld van grootheid, een slimme stedelijke nederzetting en culturele rijkdom.

Je wordt opgehaald bij je hotel of een ander adres in Mexico-stad. De transfer naar de archeologische zone duurt ongeveer 1 uur en 15 minuten.
We zullen dit kleine museum bezoeken dat voorwerpen en overblijfselen bevat die in de piramides zijn gevonden. We zullen meer te weten komen over de geschiedenis en cultuur van de beschaving van Teotihuacan die leeft van 100 v.Chr. tot 600 na Christus We zullen de kamers bezoeken waar je veel prehispanic handwerk kunt zien.
In deze route lopen we door de Rijbaan van de Doden We bezoeken de Piramide van de Zon (de grootste), de Piramide van de Maan, het Quetzalpapalotl-paleis, de Tempel van de Gevederde Schelp, de tuin van de jaguars en de Tempel van Quetzalcoatl.
De terugkeer naar Mexico-stad en de drop-off vindt plaats in uw hotel of een ander adres in Mexico-stad. We hopen dat je genoten hebt van deze magische tour.

Ruben was amazing and very knowledgeable of everything we saw on the tour! Great time and really enjoyed it
We had a great time with our guide, Ruben. He picked us up at our hotel in time and we then drove to Cholula to see the Church on the pyramid and then we went to Puebla. Both places were awesome to visit. Ruben is very knowledgeable in Mexico’s rich cultural history and I don’t think we could have found a more informative guide. He is passionate about his job which made our tour even better. Puebla is such a beautiful place, with its awesome churches, wonderful people and architecture, we would like to visit again. When we return to Mexico City we will definitely book with Epic Journeys for our tours.

We were picked up from our hotel, driven to the Pyramids/Temples, offered Chris & ice cold water on route by our driver-Judy. Once we arrived at the site we were meet by our guide Christian, who was brilliant & very knowledgeable. Our tour was even adapted for us to include a lunch stop on our return journey to our hotel. We had a most excellent day out, I would recommend to anyone. Pats (our tour organiser) was very patient with me while booking, as I was having credit card issues. N.B. Any extras (like our lunch stop) will of course come at an extra cost. Also the guide may not be included in the total price as advertised, as the archaeological site has changed its rules in April 2026. The experience was memorable. Diego picked us up at our hotel. He is cordial, considerate, and a very good driver. Certainly, his knowledge of Teotihuacan is very extensive.

I first visited Teotihuacan 21 years ago and was excited to return. Years ago, I was on a larger tour that included tourist shopping stops, and although the experience at the archeological site was good, I felt like it was a bit rushed and I didn’t have as much time there as I wanted. I also felt like I didn’t not have a great understanding of the site. So, this time, I chose to book a private tour with a certified guide. Christian was an excellent guide, offered detailed information throughout the archeological site, and easily answered all of my questions. I had 3 hours to explore the site and I saw much more than I first did all those years ago. My guide was friendly, considerate, and very knowledgeable. If you have the time and the means, I highly recommend booking this private tour. I should add that it was also very convenient that my driver picked me up and dropped me off at my door, especially given the early departure time I had chosen. My driver was helpful and pleasant and the car was clean and comfortable.
