Onze gast zal hier de rol spelen die de kerk speelde in de geschiedenis van Beaufort vanaf de oprichting in 1712, ze zullen de begraafplaats zien vanuit de koets en horen over enkele van de grondleggers van Beaufort, en soldaten die er iedereen gaven die daar begraven liggen.
Onze tour kronkelt door de straatjes van het historische district van Old Beaufort en passeert eeuwenoude levende eikenbomen gedrapeerd in Spaans mos, Antebellum & Victoriaanse huizen en kerken, prachtige tuinen allemaal vanuit het comfort van onze prachtige blauwe koetsen getrokken door onze zachte reuzen. Ontspan en geniet van de clopity clop van de paardenvoeten terwijl je gids Beaufort's meer dan 300 jaar geschiedenis, folklore, legendes en Hollywood-filmverhalen deelt. Vanaf de vroege koloniale nederzettingen, de Amerikaanse revolutie, het plantageleven in het zuiden van Antebellum, de burgeroorlog, de wederopbouwperiode, de 20e eeuw tot vandaag zijn Beaufortonians altijd betrokken geweest bij elke belangrijke periode van de Amerikaanse geschiedenis.

Really informed tour guide. Enjoyable with headphones to really hear description of sites. She was very attuned to her horse as well. I went solo with my service dog and met very nice people too.
The horse and buggy tour was really nice. Beaufort is a beautiful area with a lot of history. Wyatt was a great horse with a lot of personality. Really lovely tour.

We enjoyed the relaxing ride through the historic district. Our guide, Anastasia was knowledgeable about the history of the area and kept the tour light and entertaining, all while maintaining our safety along the streets.
This is a must do in Beaufort! The history and stories told with humor, priceless. You see the houses in the historic Point come alive.
The carriage ride turned out to be the highlight of our visit to Beaufort. Our driver, Liz, was a wealth of information, funny and really LOVED her horse...Wyatt Erp! The relationship between them was so obvious, and only made our experience better. The history about the local area was interesting in itself, but the extent that Beaufort and it's citizens played in American history was incredible. We live near Charleston, and have done numerous carriage rides, but this was by far the best one we've enjoyed!!

This tour exceeded our expectations!! The staff, from booking to check-in and beyond were exceptionally helpful and nice. Our driver and guide was Tyler Banks who was full of enthusiasm and knowledge of Beaufort. Tyler was humorous—joking about our horse Steve and other witty comments that made for a pleasant 55 minute ride through the historic district. There was also an opportunity at the end to interact with the horse. Strongly recommend — fun for all ages.
