Dag 1 Onze reis begint vroeg in de ochtend vanuit Dar es Salaam. Uw chauffeur haalt u op bij het hotel of de luchthaven als u met een late vlucht aankomt. U wordt naar het SGR-treinstation gebracht voor uw trein naar de regio Morogoro, wat ongeveer 1 uur duurt. Bij aankomst haalt onze chauffeur-gids u op en rijdt u naar Mikumi National Park, wat ongeveer 1 uur en 30 minuten duurt. U heeft een late ochtend- en een avond-gamedrive. Na de gamedrives brengt uw chauffeur u terug naar het treinstation in Morogoro voor uw terugreis per trein naar Dar es Salaam. Bij aankomst haalt onze chauffeur u op en brengt u naar uw hotel, of als u op dat moment een vlucht heeft, zet onze chauffeur u af op de luchthaven. U krijgt een picknicklunch tijdens de activiteiten van de dag. De hoofdactiviteit is een gamedrive.

Deze tour is kort, maar je hebt de kans om de Big Four te zien. Mikumi National Park is het vierde grootste nationale park van Tanzania en het meest toegankelijk vanuit Dar es Salaam. Het beslaat een oppervlakte van 3.230 km² (1.250 mi²) en ligt tussen het Uluguru-gebergte in het noorden en het Lumango-gebergte in het zuidoosten. Mikumi is de thuisbasis van buffels, giraffen, olifanten, leeuwen, pythons, zebra's, luipaarden, krokodillen, vogels en vele andere dieren.

Highly recommended 1-day safari tour!! I can really recommend KIHINDO TOURS! From the beginning they provided very good communication and organisation. Pilly always answered my questions over Whattsapp within 2h. The driver picked us up as agreed in the morning and took us to the train. After the train journey another driver Adam picked us up and drove us to Mikumi National park. The guide Sam took over and we saw a lot of animals; elephants, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, leopard, impalas, and warthogs. The safari lasted from 10-16 with a lunch break in between. After the safari they took us back to the hotel again - very good organised! Highly recommended!
It was an excellent experience but exhausting from Dar es Salaam on a train.My guide Nuhu was exceptional.As I was alone on my vehicle had a quality experience...birds/ trees/ parking history and stories. Would highly recommend
Dont listen to agents Take lots of snacks ..soda etc Otherwise you won't have any solid food for 19 hours or so..was the only downside
We had an amazing one-day safari with Owen as our guide. He was very friendly, funny and knowledgeable, making the whole experience really enjoyable. We had a great time and would definitely recommend the tour, especially Owen as a guide.
I had an amazing experience with Kihindo Tours and Safaris. I went on a day trip safari from Dar es Salaam and everything was fantastic. From the pickup from my house to the amazing safari itself. The guide was very professional, calm and kind. Explained a lot about the animals we saw along the way and he also knew where to look for them. We were also very lucky to see many animals during that day, we even had a chance to see lions when we arrived at the national park! They were also very kind through communication from WhatsApp making sure I got picked up, got on the right train and got home safe. I would definitely book through them again and can definitely recommend you do the same if you are considering doing a safari in Tanzania.
Super 3-day, 2-night experience with Kihndo Tours. Picked up in Dar es Salaam and accompanied to the train heading to Morogoro to then reach Camp Lilac. Meeting with the Maasai in a typical village and, on the second day, a Game Safari at MIKUMI with Willy, a prepared and perfect guide who accompanied us in search of animals of all kinds (Lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Wildebeest, Hippopotamus, and Crocodile). Recommended!

I booked a one-day safari to Mikumi National Park on a Friday for the following Saturday, and everything was perfectly organized and executed exactly as agreed. They arranged a driver to pick me up at my hotel at 7:00 AM and take me to the Dar es Salaam train station. When I arrived at Morogoro station, another driver was already waiting to take me to Mikumi National Park. The entire logistics process was smooth, punctual, and stress-free. The safari itself was amazing. The guide was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife in the park and clearly passionate about his work. He took the time to stop frequently, explain the different species, and share interesting information about the animals and their behavior. Around 5:00 PM, the safari ended and I was driven back to Morogoro train station. Upon arriving in Dar es Salaam, another driver was waiting to take me back to my hotel. I wish I had more time for a longer safari, but even with just a few hours in the park, I was able to see all the animals I had hoped to see — and even more. To sum up, I highly recommend Kihindo Tours and Safaris for their professionalism, organization, and excellent service.
