Akagera National Park, “waar de natuur gedijt”, een tour naar het wilde hart van Rwanda geeft je een kijkje in de spectaculaire natuurlijke schoonheid en wonderen, waaronder schilderachtige uitzichten, unieke landschappen, wilde diersoorten en culturele ontmoetingen. Akagera National Park is een toevluchtsoord om getuige te zijn van de Big 5 en verder, namelijk olifanten, buffels, luipaarden en leeuwen, evenals andere dieren zoals hyena's, giraffen, antilopen en wrattenzwijnen, evenals een verscheidenheid aan inheemse en trekvogelsoorten. Om 5:00 uur – Pick-up & rijden naar Akagera NP. Je Engelstalige gids haalt je op bij je hotel en begint aan een schilderachtige rit naar Akagera, waarbij je door schilderachtige landschappen, levendige landbouwgronden, bruisende lokale markten en charmante gemeenschappen rijdt. Om 7:30 uur – ga je naar het hoofdkantoor van het park voor registratie. Maak vervolgens een gamedrive door de savannegraslanden, waar je de Afrikaanse Big Five tegenkomt: leeuwen, olifanten, buffels, luipaarden en neushoorns. Om 14:00 uur – Boottocht op het Ihemameer. U begint aan een rustige boottocht op het Ihemameer, dat bekend staat om zijn rijke biodiversiteit. Observeer nijlpaarden, nijlkrokodillen en een verscheidenheid aan vogelsoorten, waaronder de zeldzame schoenbekooievaar, Afrikaanse visarenden. Ga verder met het verkennen van Akagera's diverse landschappen, gekenmerkt door een mix van acaciabossen, open graslanden en wetlandgebieden. Om 17:00 – Verlaat het Park. Na een dag vol opmerkelijke wildlife ervaringen, rijdt u terug naar Kigali.

I recently went on a 1-Day Safari to Akagera National Park with Silverbird Tours Agency, and it was an unforgettable experience! The team was so thoughtful, they came to my hotel the day before to go over details, accept payment, and ensure I had a packed breakfast for the early start. Our driver, Justin, was fantastic, kind, punctual, and knowledgeable. The vehicle was comfortable, with WiFi and a power plug, and we even had a fun coffee break for souvenirs on the way. During the safari, we saw so many animals, thanks to the drivers communicating about sightings. Some of the animals we saw were: Zebras, Giraffes, Elephants, Water Buffalo, Baboons, Antelope, Rhinos, and much more! Lunch was delicious, and everything ran smoothly. Despite our tight schedule (we had an 11 PM flight out of Kigali), Silverbird made sure we enjoyed the park without feeling rushed. I’m so impressed by their professionalism and care. We had a very great time at the Akagera National park! Such a beautiful place with amazing animals. We were able to see a lot of animals such as black and white rhinos, giraffes, lions, hippos, monkeys, baboons and different types of birds.
