In deze excursie maakt u kennis met: natuur, cultuur, geschiedenis, gebruiken en natuurlijk de keuken van Shakhrisbz. U ziet vanaf de filmlocaties van de film "Apache" door de bergen naar de geboorteplaats van de grote Amir Timur in één dag.

- Vallei der Demonen. Er zijn enorme rotsblokken daar, vreemde stenen zijn verspreid over de vallei, ze hebben fantastische vormen, die doen denken aan ofwel de gezichten van demonen, of de kenmerken van heidense godheden, of de figuren van wilde dieren.
- “Hart-steen” - met een doorgaande gat in de vorm van een hart, gemaakt door de natuur met behulp van de wind van de stromingen van vele jaren, gelegen op 30 km ten zuiden van Samarkand, op de weg naar Amankutana.
Aksaray werd gebouwd in opdracht van Amir Temur na zijn veldtocht tegen Khorezm. De geschatte start van de bouw van het monument is 1379, en op dit moment zijn slechts twee aparte ingangsportalen, waarvan de hoogte meer dan 40 meter is, bewaard gebleven. Dit complex ontstond na de dood van Amir Temurs oudste zoon Jahangir. Nu bestaat het ensemble uit verschillende gebouwen - een moskee, een mausoleum, een kamer voor pelgrims, drie poorten en graven. Toegangskaartje kost 3 dollar per persoon en je kunt contant of met de kaart betalen.
In 1435 werd de grootste moskee van Shakhrisabz geopend. Deze moskee werd gebouwd op de fundering van een pre-Mongoolse moskee en presenteert een sprekend voorbeeld van de Perzische stijl. Toegangskaartje kost 3 dollar per persoon en je kunt contant of met de kaart betalen.
Na alle bezienswaardigheden te hebben bezocht, gaan we naar Samarkand. En ook onderweg bewonder je de berglandschappen en proef je de lekkerste tandoor-gush (lamsvlees)!

Nice trip. Impressive! The driver spoke enough English to explain something so you don't really miss a guide. He also arranged a very nice place for lunch.

This is a guided tour that takes the right steps. Our tour guide is very familiar and professional with the history of these attractions, the timing is reasonable and does not feel boring or too tired, thanks to him for taking care of our five-year-old boy, taking him along for a walk, together to tour the birthplace of Tamu.

I had one of my best days in Uzbekistan with Parvina! She is very knowledgeable and kind, doing everything to make the guests happy. She also made a stop in a local restaurant on the way, the food was delicious! Everything is organised well and it's easy to communicate with the operator directly.

Ikrom was our tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about the history of the location that we went. Ikrom shared about the history of Uzbekistan, Amir Temur and also, the major sites along the journey eg, Stoneheart, Koratepa mountain cross road, Zarafshan range where we can see the Kitab region, and the Taxta karachi road. Awesome journey, good lunch location inside the Amir Temur Mausoleum.

We were planning a one-day experience around Samarkand that wouldn’t involve spending too many hours traveling by car. The result was Shahrisabz — an excellent choice. They picked us up from the hotel right on time, and the journey was smooth, enjoyable, and full of interesting information. Our guide was Parvina, an academic, who gave us an introduction not only to the city itself but also to the broader history of Amir Timur and his monuments in Samarkand. Excellent. On top of that, we had one of the best lamb dishes in the world for lunch! Highly recommended for a day trip.

The tour is very informative. Timur's homeland! It is very important that the Uzbek people revere, respect their heroes, remember and are ready for the whole world to tell about the accomplishments of their genius rulers. Tour to Shakrisabz. We expected a 4x4 but ended up in a tiny tiny chevrolet that had no AC and was super bump driving some of the roads. The site is decent and was empty. It would be good to have indepth information or details regarding the site and it's history. Alot of the information available is regarding Amir Temur.
