Onze Engels / Frans sprekende gids kiest u uit waar u rond 10 uur na het ontbijt in Kigali verblijft, met privévoertuig, korte briefing en gaat vervolgens verder met Kigali stadstour en eindigt rond 3 uur Pm Kigali is de hoofdstad van Rwanda en werd in 1907 genoemd door Dr. Richard Kandt, de eerste koloniale ingezeten gouverneur van Rwanda. De stad is gebouwd op verschillende heuvels en valleien. Kigali-compromissen van 3 grote districten en deze omvatten Nyarugenge, Kicukiro en Gasabo. Onze Kigali-rondleiding door de stad verkent de belangrijkste historische en culturele bezienswaardigheden van Rwanda. De reis begint na het ontbijt.

Gedenkteken Het Kigali Genocide Memorial omvat drie permanente tentoonstellingen, waarvan de grootste de genocide van 1994 tegen de Tutsi documenteert. Er is ook een gedenkteken voor kinderen en een tentoonstelling over de geschiedenis van genocidaal geweld over de hele wereld. Het Education Center, Gardens en Genocide Archive of Rwanda maken deel uit van een betekenisvol eerbetoon aan degenen die zijn omgekomen en bieden een krachtig educatief hulpmiddel voor bezoekers.
Afrika, Rwanda, de hoofdstad van Kigali, de grootste boerenmarkt, is een toeristische attractie geworden, waar buitenlandse toeristen meer te weten kunnen komen over de meest realistische staat van Afrikanen. De levendige markt staat vol met fruit, populariteit, vuurwerk, verschillende soorten kleding, handgemaakt (souvenirs), enz... dit is het meest eenvoudige beeld van het leven van Afrikanen. Bij de ingang van de markt staan uniform geklede gele dragers, hun kleding bedrukt met nummers, speciaal voor de gasten om tassen te dragen, dragen, door het marktbeheer, geen uniformen dragen, worden beboet.
Mount Kigali of Mont Kigali in het Frans, is een heuvel in de stad Kigali, Rwanda, waarnaar de stad is vernoemd. Mount Kigali ligt direct ten westen van het stadscentrum in het district Nyarugenge. Het grootste deel van het district Nyarugenge ligt op de hellingen van de Mont Kigali. De westelijke hellingen van de berg Kigali eindigen in de vallei van de rivier de Nyabarongo. Op een hoogte van 1.853 meter (6.079 voet), samen met de grotere Mont Jali op 2.078 meter (6.818 voet) direct naar het noorden, domineert het over andere heuvels in de stad terwijl ze tussen 1300 en 1600 m stijgen. Als gevolg hiervan biedt de berg Kigali weidse uitzichten over de hele stad Kigali in het oosten en noorden, de zuidelijke provincie in het westen en zuiden en de oostelijke provincie in het oosten en zuiden.

Today was one of the most moving days for me. I was not sure what to expect in coming to Rwanda, and I knew I wanted to come to support a friend who survived the genocide 30Ys ago: I had a day alone to explore Kigali b4 mtg him in his village tomorrow. My day with Justin was so far beyond. We started with the history of Rwanda pre and into colonial times & then moved to the genocide memorial. The level of tragedy is unconscionable but what impacted me most is seeing how the country has healed and created a very different country today. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Justin was the best - humble, gentle, knowledgeable & very open. Learning his own story along side seeing the impact and aftermath of that kind of violence and how the country came together is a model for all of in these times.

My husband and I had a wonderful time in Kigali. Fiacre, Tina and the silverbird tours were fantastic. I had very few days in Kigali and to be able to see as much as possible I contacted Silverbird Tours. They replied fast in e-mail and gave me all the information I needed before going. On the day of the tour company came exactly on time to my hotel. The driver Justin was very nice to travel with and he gave me the chance to see and do exactly what I wanted to. Without the conpany and the driver I would not had the chance to see and experience so much of Kigali. Wonderful service!

Genocide, memorial and museum was a not miss, Driver was friendly, nice lunch with local food. Great way to try to understand the genocide, and how colonialism impacted the country.
