Een absolute activiteit voor iedereen die Raiatea bezoekt, zelfs als het maar voor een paar uur is! Snorkelen in een van de mooiste koraaltuinen van Polynesië, toegankelijk voor iedereen, in het hart van een ongerepte lagune. En vergeet vooral je GoPro's en andere apparaten niet om je prachtige herinneringen vast te leggen! Wat u zo dadelijk zult zien, lijkt in geen enkel opzicht op een aquarium… Het is heel echt, en het is nog mooier!

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Cruisepassagiers worden opgehaald direct voor het loket van het toeristenbureau in het havengebouw. De aangegeven vertrektijd is een schatting, aangezien we deze aanpassen aan de aankomst- en vertrektijden van uw cruiseschip. We vragen u alleen maar zo snel mogelijk naar beneden te komen, zodat we zo snel mogelijk kunnen vertrekken om van de lagune te genieten! BELANGRIJK: U dient in alle gevallen uiterlijk 15 minuten vóór de geplande vertrektijd aanwezig te zijn - bijvoorbeeld maximaal 8:15 uur voor een vertrek om 8:30 uur.

The trip and the snorkeling was great--however the company needs to really work on their visibility in port. There was no representative from the tour company to be found when we arrived--had to ask multiple people for help. This was very frustrating. Additionally the total length of time for the tour was quite short.
Great 1/2 day from Raiatea. The boat left on time and took about 40min to get to the site. We did the snorkel twice. The guide was very good. No need for flippers just reef shoes. We took our own mask and snorkel but they have them if you don’t. We had bananas and cake on the boat after.
Excellent view of the coral reefs and fishes. Easy boat ride to the Coral gardens. Fruit and juice provided after the snorkeling. We had enough time to pass through the coral gardens twice. Excellent clarity of water.
Exceptional experience for my son and I! Our guide was standing at the dock waiting for us to arrive on the tender from the cruise ship! (She was holding a sign with our names). She took us aside to wait for other passengers taking this excursion. Short walk to their covered boat-there were about 8 of us. Wonderful 40 minute boat ride to these Coral Gardens. Seas were calm and we enjoyed the beautiful views of the islands. Our boat was the first to arrive at these popular gardens. This place is so beautiful you won't want to leave. Your short wade is in just 2 feet of crystal clear water to the palm tree covered island. Then you take a short walk to the water entry point to snorkel. You need water shoes, mask and snorkel. You follow your guide through very calm waters without current, seeing lots of colorful fish, sea life and corals. Tide was out, so water depth was only 3-4 feet. Takes about 30 minutes to reach the route end but our guide allowed us time to enjoy. At the end I noticed lots of other boats had arrived for the same experience. Then our guide took us on the same path for a 2nd swim, something I saw no other vendor do. This time we saw an eel, and more fish. By the time we finished the other tour operators were already leaving or gone. Our guide loved what she did and it showed. On the way back she gave us some local drinks and snacks. One of our best tours ever!
Need to check in at the tourist information building lobby. There is no Viator office so I needed to have the tourist information person call the local operator

No snorkels provided, poorly fitting masks, adequate commentary, helpful staff, drift snorkel helpful except not adequate equipment

This excursion did not meet my expectations based on previous snorkeling trips! We were given just a mask! and walked in shallow water (waist deep) and had to bend over and stick my head in the water to see the coral and fish. When we got to deeper water (chest deep) we were told to float with the current and observe the coral and fish. The coral was beautiful and so were the various species of fish, but this is not snorkeling! I felt it was a waste of my money! I would not recommend it to anyone!

What an incredible day we had on this tour! We started with a fast and scenic boat ride to our snorkeling spot! Once we arrived, there were huts over the most turquoise water EVER! We anchored and then walked on the island to our ‘put in’ spot to ‘drift snorkel’! What an incredible experience! I have snorkeled in SO MANY places, but this was a first for drift snorkeling….I LOVED IT! The water was crystal clear and there were so many fish, beautiful coral, and amazingly brilliant colored clams! Our guides Ben & Joe were awesome! They were so patient with some of the ‘newbies’! Great tour! Incredible snorkeling! Would DEFINITELY book this same tour again!
The tour was easy to find once you reached the dock. It is a 45 minute boat ride to the Coral Gardens. The water and marine life were amazing. The current can be difficult to navigate. You need to bring your snorkel equipment and water shoes are a must because you will really need them. Make sure you know how to swim well and are familiar with snorkeling. This is not for someone snorkeling for the first time. The crew was two people and they were very nice.
Wonderful!!! Our lovely hosts took us over to the Coral Garden just off Taha’a Island. Just a magnificent experience! Brilliant easy snorkelling across beautiful coral and vibrant sea life, and lovely kind people making the day extra special. Highly recommended!
