De Himba zijn een stam nomadische herders die in het Kaokoland-gebied van Namibië wonen. De Himba zijn afstammelingen van een groep Herero-herders die naar het noordwesten zijn gevlucht na te zijn ontheemd door de Nama. De Himba zijn inheemse mensen met een geschatte populatie van ongeveer 50.000 in het noorden van Namibië, in de regio Kunene en over de Kunene-rivier in Angola.
