Tutto ciò che è mai stato importante a Zara, dal periodo medievale, è successo o si è sentito parlare in Piazza del Popolo. È il centro della vita urbana, una sorgente che ti risucchia con la sua energia e bellezza, per poi affidare i passanti ad altre sensazioni urbane.
Sebbene questa chiesa barocca del XVII secolo sia abbastanza carina, è ciò che si trova all'interno che la rende davvero degna di nota. Il sarcofago di San Simeone, posto d'onore sopra l'altare maggiore, è un capolavoro dell'oreficeria medievale.
Zara è orgoglioso proprietario di una miscela unica di architettura e musica, il famoso organo marino, che si trova proprio accanto a un'altra installazione moderna, il Saluto al sole. I suoni che l'Organo Marino produce sono il risultato del rilascio di energia marina, o meglio onde e maree.
Insieme all'energia delle onde che produce il suono dell'organo marino, produce uno spettacolo di luci trippy dal tramonto all'alba che ha lo scopo di simulare il sistema solare. Raccoglie anche energia sufficiente per alimentare l'intero sistema di illuminazione del porto.

Tonka was wonderful! I enjoy the city so much more now that I know it’s rich history.
My husband and I were the only two that signed up for our tour. Our guide, Tonka, was absolutely incredible! She shared her knowledge of Zadar with us and made the tour that much more enjoyable. The tastings along the way were delicious and something to look forward to. I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you again, Tonka!

What a lovely 2 hours with Andrija! He walked us around the city and gave us the historical facts plus added in personal stories from his family-oh what a lovely time! We had cheese and brandy and he told us of the restaurant we are going to for our 30th anniversary!! The ice cream recommendation was great also! We really enjoyed this tour in Zadar!Our guide Tonka was lively, curious, and knew how to explain history in a way that kept us interested. It covered not only communism and World War II, but also the Italian, Austro-Hungarian, Turkish, German and French occupations, the Yugoslav Kingdom, Communist Yugoslavia and Tito. We walked through important places in the city, asked all our questions, and finished with a taste of a national drink. A great mix of history, stories and atmosphere!
