Itinerario
Cammineremo verso la piazza del mercato, dove vedrai i primi due importanti monumenti, la Falkenhaus, una locanda costruita nel XVIII secolo con una bella facciata in stile rococò. Appena a nord del mercato si trova Marienkapele (la cappella di Maria) con la sua architettura gotica ben conservata e le bellissime statue realizzate dal famoso scultore tedesco Tilman Riemenschneider. A pochi passi si raggiunge il municipio e la grande fontana barocca, il "Vierröhrenbrunnen", da questo punto attraverseremo il vecchio ponte sul fiume principale che è anche un'ottima occasione per fotografare. (Opzionale in questo tour è la Fortezza Marienberg sul fiume, che è accessibile con i mezzi pubblici oa piedi. Si trova a circa 20 minuti a piedi dalla fortezza se si preferisce camminare, e da lì si avrà una vista spettacolare della Main la valle del fiume e la città: lungo la discesa, attraversando il ponte, ci dirigiamo verso il Residence, un grande palazzo barocco della città, situato sotto il Residence, lo Staatlicher Hofkeller, la vecchia cantina dei vini reali che offre i migliori vini della regione, un commercio per cui questa città è famosa!

Elizabeth was excellent. Very knowledgeable, good communication, answered all questions, highly recommend.
Since we unfortunately had 2 hours train delay we could not use the full 2 hours of the tour. Nevertheless, Ms Nickel took a little longer to show us some of Würzburg. Her stories were very refreshing and entertaining. Furthermore, she and a few more tips on what else we can do. On the whole, we really liked the tour. Thank you for this

It was more like share a drink. No AH moment even from a distance along river banks. There was a spot I saw clamped of locked keys.

Stefanie was fantastic. We have traveled to a lot of countries with various guides and she was by far the best. She enjoys people and has guided for over 20 years. It showed. She provided in detail background history of the famous sights. We had great conversation throughout the tour. She knew what would be open, such as cathedrals etc. She packed a lot in; 3 hours worth of content in 2 hours. She made the best use of our time. It was truly an enjoyable experience. Anyone is fortunate to have Stefanie as their guide.

Our guide, Stefanie A, was the BEST walking tour guide I've EVER had. She is classy, well-spoken and eloquent and a beautiful story teller! I could listen to hear speak all day. I was traveling with a group of 12 students from a community college in Texas and met my German exchange student in Würzburg with his family who speak limited English, but because of her slow, clear and beautiful communication, they were able to understand most of the tour in English! She is so regal and such a joy and I feel so blessed we got to have her twice (part one on our arrival day in Würzburg, and then again on Sunday, December 15th. Thank you for such a wonderful tour, Stefanie, and for helping me pick the perfect wine in the Residenz Gift Shop! I shared it with friends when I got home to Texas and it was delicious!
