If you visited World of Coca-Cola years ago and are thinking of going back, temper your expectations. What used to be a genuine experience tied to the actual product (the old tour let you watch the bottling line and take home a bottle you saw filled, and that was the magic) has devolved into an overpriced brand showcase. Today, it's essentially a tasting room with a gift shop. You don't even get a Coke to take home with the price of admission anymore. The main attraction now is the international tasting room, which is fine for about ten minutes of novelty. But the execution is poor. The room was crowded and the floors were sticky from spilled drinks, and the cup situation made it worse. The sample cup dispensers placed throughout the tasting room floor were blocked off, in disrepair, or simply not stocked. Instead, cups were only available at the entrance, creating a traffic nightmare as people grappled for stacks of cups to carry with them through the tasting rooms. The rest of the exhibits feel gimmicky. The "history of Coke" and Vault exhibits are padded out with a literally watered-down second tasting experience where you sample individual flavor notes in soda water and sniff aroma stations. It's the kind of filler that exists to stretch a 45-minute experience into something that justifies the ticket price. It doesn't. The gift shop is genuinely nice with some cool products, though a bit expensive. You would think a discount on the markup would be in order given you already paid an entry fee just to reach the shop. Instead, you're paying full admission to be funneled into full-price retail.
Love Coca-Cola and were excited to visit and expecting a showstopper of an attraction. It’s conveniently situated in downtown Atlanta next to the aquarium. Unfortunately it’s all quite boring with little to see and not particularly informative apart from the initial introduction and the vault exhibit. Lots of merchandise withthe logo on to see in cases along with historic and novelty bottles but no real depth of information to go with them. Teenager enjoyed the taste testing area and the novelty photograph. Staff were generally cheerful and welcoming. Extensive gift shop at the end but terribly expensive. Would help to have it’s own parking that ticket holders could book, as we visited during the World Cup all parking was inflated so what should have cost us $15-20 cost $55 - not the attraction’s fault but would have been helpful.
The World of Coca-Cola was quite interesting. There was a lab-in which you could make your own drink-plus an interesting film on Coca-Cola advertising.
Wonderful and funny experience. Love all the different rooms and history. Taste testing was the highlight
Definitely worth visiting! So much history about Coca Cola that I never heard of before.
It was a good experience to do one time in your life. You’re not going to feel like you have to do it again. The taste testing and making your own beverage was the highlight. The kids loved the polar bear pictures too. It was way too crowded for my liking. I felt rushed. But it was a good time. If you have kids, they will like it.
The best part of this experience is trying all the drink samples. You won't leave here thirsty. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Very complete and modern visit
The recipe box, the tasting, everything is great in this activity for the whole family. Would do it again.
It’s a lovely experience for the whole family. There is plenty to see and the drinks from everywhere in the world was special.
