La tua guida English Wine Expert Tour ti condurrà in tre vigneti contrastanti in modo da poter vedere grandi produttori fino a una boutique e piccoli produttori. Entra, assaggia, divertiti e perché no prendi una bottiglia come ricordo della tua giornata! Imparerai tutto sull'industria vinicola inglese mentre guidi attraverso città e villaggi pittoreschi e scopri la ricca storia del Regno Unito nella frutticoltura e nei prodotti locali. Ammira i borghi medievali e goditi la campagna inglese, lungo le strette strade a corsia singola e fuori dai percorsi turistici più battuti. Il tour include un pranzo al sacco stagionale a base di delizie locali e, naturalmente, un bicchiere di vino inglese.

Itinerario
Parti da English Grounds, di fronte alla stazione di London Bridge. Il tour parte puntualmente alle 9:00 e ci vorranno circa 1 ora e 30 minuti a 1 ora e 45 minuti per raggiungere il primo vigneto. Durante questo periodo sarai intrattenuto dalla tua guida turistica che ti racconterà tutto sul vino inglese.
Goditi una degustazione guidata con il più grande produttore di vino biologico del Regno Unito. Sedlescombe Organic ti racconterà tutto sul loro approccio di intervento minimo alla viticoltura mentre assaggi i loro premiati vini. Ci sarà tutto il tempo per fare acquisti e dare un'occhiata in giro per scattare foto e fare acquisti.
Poi ci dirigiamo attraverso la bellissima campagna inglese e i piccoli villaggi fino al secondo vigneto, Chapel Down Estate. Chapel Down si trova nel porto del cantiere navale del XV secolo, noto come il piccolo villaggio di Hythe, dove esploreremo la vigna e impareremo la viticoltura inglese. Potrai godere di una degustazione guidata presso le botti e sperimentare l'intera gamma di vini spumanti e fermi English Chapel Down. Ci sarà un sacco di tempo per chiedersi e visitare l'enoteca dopo la degustazione.

Piantata nel 2009, la Woodchurch Estate è un piccolo e unico vigneto dove incontreremo il produttore per comprendere tutto il duro lavoro che si svolge nell'avviamento di un vigneto. Woodchurch è specializzata in spumanti, dove hanno 9 ettari di vigneto che producono una cuvée classica, un rosé frizzante e un delizioso blanc de blancs. Hanno anche appena pubblicato un chardonnay ancora in circolazione. Avrai una degustazione guidata di vini con il produttore e il tempo per gli acquisti.
Dopo l'ultima degustazione faremo ritorno all'English Grounds, vicino al London Bridge (SE1 2HU). Il tempo di percorrenza sarà di circa 1 ora e 30 a 1 ora e 45 minuti.

Great day out from London. We went to three smaller vineyards that I would not have otherwise visited on my own. The lunch was superb. I would highly recommend English Wine Tasting Tours.
We went to The Sussex Vineyard tour with The Wine Tasting Company hosted by Justin on the 2nd May 2026. Our experience from start to finish was fantastic. Justin was knowledgeable and great fun throughout the day. The whole day was well organised and our group that we shared the day with were really friendly and made our day special. We enjoyed the vineyards and the hosts were very accommodating and made the whole experience a really memorable day. We would thoroughly recommend the tour to everyone. Thank you to both Nicola and Justin and not forgetting Antonio the driver.
We had a great day visiting vineyards in Kent with Justin as our guide. He led us through the day with a smile and knowledge of English wine history. We were also very well taken care of in the vineyards we visited, and tasted lots of different wines. Must also say that the pub lunch was very good!
It was lovely to have you both on board, and teach you all about English wine. Come again next time you visit the UK, we'd love to show you some more of our favourite vineyards.
Great day, great experience. Nicola was easy to contact via email and Justin was a fantastic tour host. We had 15 girls for a hen party so you can imagine they had their hands full but from prompt London pick up to a fantastic assortment of wineries then a great lunch location included we had a really lovely day and one not to be forgotten soon. Great day out to explore some wineries outside London towards the southeast coast, pub lunch with wine included. Very educational about the history and the vines, each locale had their own take - organic and very conservation/sustainable oriented, a very homey country vibe at another and lastly, a very modern sleek tasting room All great hosts! Cellar door husband and wife team have a nice product & enjoy their work and show off their area well
The tour was very well organised, with a driver meeting us at the station, alongside our tour guide Justin. We visited 3 vineyards which was excellent value, with no less than 14 wines and a lovely picnic style packed lunch. We returned by 6.30-7pm, so a full day out!
What a great day!! A fun and knowledgeable guide and a chance to try some English wines! Would definitely recommend! The light lunch was filling and delicious as well.
My partner and I had an amazing day with English Wine tasting tours. Our guide Brian was the loveliest man who really looked after us and was full of knowledge about the history of wine that he shared with us on the coach journey. We went to three beautiful vineyards where we tried various different wines and learned about the processes in which they make them. Lunch was at a local pub, I thought we were going to be having lunch at one of the vineyards which would have been a nicer setting but it was lovely all the same. We had a great group of people with us on the tour and having got on so well we all ended up going for drinks in London after being dropped off which was a great end to the day. I would definitely recommend this tour to my friends. I might even re-book with a large group of us as it's a great day out.

The whole trip was very interesting and our tour guide Justin very welcoming and knowledgeable. We visited 3 vineyards in total the second one was my least favourite as we could not even see the vineyard and the lady giving the talk wasn't as animated as the other two. I would have liked more time at the third vineyard the sun had come out then and it had a balcony that had glorious views of the vineyard while enjoying the wine. I think less time at the first stop would have been better and more time at the third stop Woodchurch. Lunch at the pub was lovely with a glass of Chapel down. All in all I would recommend this wine tasting tour with some adjustments on the level of time at different vineyards.
Visited Chapel Down for a wine tour and tasting, which was given to us as a present. A warm welcome from the staff on reception before we were introduced to Russell our tour guide and wine expert. Whilst the weather, which was excellent, certainly helped, the Vineyard is beautifully set out, well stocked shop, nice outdoor seating and dining area, restuarant (we didn't visit) and extensive grounds. Russell showed us around the vineyard, which featured a detailed review of the various vines on the site, a trip to all the wine preparation rooms and the wine tasting room. We were given the opportunity to taste 5 wines, which incuded sparkling wines. Russell, clearly knew his wines and delivered a enjoyable and light-hearted review, which seemed to be enjoyed by all. The two hour trip passed very quicky and was throughly enjoyable. I would say that a video in the pressinfg room to show how the wine is actually pressed would be a interesting addition and would bring the process to life, certainly not a negative but would help the guests understnd the journey of wine making. Well worth a visit, leave the car at home on a sunny day and enjoy the grounds with a couple of glasses after the tasting.
Thank you for your review Michael, but I think you may have got the wrong company. We do visit Chapel Down on our tours, but it sounds like you only went to Chapel Down on the day and not with English Wine Tasting Tours. But I'm glad you enjoyed your tour and tasting with Russel.
