Wine & Food Tasting a Villarena

If you’re visiting Sorrento or the Amalfi Coast, Villarena is a must. Guglielmo is an exceptional host, and his team is truly outstanding. My husband and I felt completely looked after—every detail was handled with warmth, care, and professionalism. He arranged a private boat tour around Capri as well as the Gourmet wine& Food Tasting, both of which were highlights of our trip. We booked this experience to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary. We were picked up by Guglielmo at our villa. He first took us to a spot in the city where the sunset could be viewed in a way only a local would be able to find. He had chilled Prosecco for us there. He stressed to us how much we should stop, relax and enjoy every moment of the night ahead. We then headed to Villarena for our experience. As we entered the venue we noticed we were the only ones there. They had closed the entire place for that evening just so we could have a special experience! We were seated and Guglielmo began educating us on wine, tastings, pairings and many other things. He had prepared many types of food to eat with our different wine tastings. We can’t say enough about the job he did and his attention to detail that he put on the entire evening. After dinner he put on a special song and gave my wife and I the opportunity to dance with each other alone in the dining room. This night is one we will never forget. Thanks so much to Guglielmo and your staff. It was truly amazing.

So many options from Villarena. The team will create a day for you. Our day was a tour of Bay of Leranto, followed by the Mamma Mia cooking class with Giovanna. We saw this beautiful property, learned a little history and prepared our own 3-course lunch. We learned great tips in the kitchen and brought home the recipes of what we made.

A decadent experience with delicious local food and a lovely assortment of wines! Went to celebrate a friend’s birthday and they went above and beyond to make it a special celebration. We were treated like family in a beautiful setting walking distance from our villa. Loved the carry-on size local olive oil to take home after enjoying a tasting board, gnocchi and ricotta cake . So appreciate the wonderful experience!

We had an exceptional experience. The food and wine from the region were amazing. We not only learned a lot about the ingredients of the dishes, but also met very nice people who shared the same experience. We had a really great time.

This was the highlight of our stay in Sorrento! We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day and the views were breathtaking from where were ate. Guglielmo was the best host! The food and wine were delicious. I ended up placing a wine order to be shipped to our home in the US. We loved this tasting and the place so much that we are returning to stay at Villarena! I went with my sister in law and 2 daughters (6&8), and it was fab! My kids got to feed the chickens and collect eggs. We picked basil for our own salad, and it was just an amazing experience. The food was devine, and the way all the pairings was explained was really interesting, and a completely new experience for me - cold bubbly red wine!! It felt so genuine, and made me realise how much local food means. Just perfect.

Great Tour! We loved being there and appreciated all the food and wine that was included. I would actually consider staying at the resort next time.
