La Madras Crocodile Bank, fondata dal leggendario ambientalista Romulus Whitaker, ospita oltre 2.500 rettili. Al Snake Venom Centre si guarda il veleno estratto da serpenti vivi per produrre i vaccini antiveleno che salvano migliaia di vite in tutta l'India ogni anno. Il programma di arricchimento dei coccodrilli cambierà completamente il vostro modo di pensare a questi animali. Il Vandalur Zoo è il primo zoo pubblico dell'India e il suo più grande, esteso su 600 acri con oltre 1.500 specie di cui 46 nella lista in via di estinzione. La sezione animali notturni, la casa delle farfalle e la passeggiata attraverso la voliera sono i punti salienti. Il Guindy National Park si trova interamente all'interno dei confini della città di Chennai, dove blackbucks, sciacalli e cervi maculati pascolano alla vista dei condomini. Ci dirigeremo verso il Guindy National Park, un paradiso per la vita selvaggia nel bel mezzo del caos di Chennai! Il parco ospita blackbucks, sciacalli, cervi, serpenti, tartarughe e farfalle. Il Parco nazionale di Guindy svolge un ruolo cruciale nella conservazione in situ ed ex situ della vita selvaggia.
Adiacente al Guindy National Park si trova il Snake Park. Qui gli ospiti potranno incontrare 23 specie di serpenti, 7 specie di coccodrilli, 3 specie di tartarughe e 6 specie di grandi lucertole indiane.
Il parco di Chennai Crocodile, allestito dal famoso ambientalista Romulus Whitaker, è un'esperienza straordinaria. Il parco ospita oltre 2500 rettili tra cui Jaws III, il suo residente più famoso e uno dei più grandi coccodrilli d'acqua salata dell'India. Gli ospiti possono vedere è il centro Snake Venom dove è possibile osservare una dimostrazione di estrazione del veleno che viene utilizzato per fare vaccini anti-veleno. L'arricchimento di coccodrillo è l'altro highlight di questa esperienza in cui questi rettili sono fatti per esercitare e giocare per il loro benessere fisico e mentale
Visitiamo Arignar Anna Zoological Gardens Il primo zoo pubblico indiano situato a Vandalur. Diffuso su 600 acri questo zoo è anche il più grande in India. Ci sono più di 1500 specie selvatiche tra cui 46 dalla lista in via di estinzione. Alcuni dei punti salienti di questo tour sarebbero la casa delle farfalle, camminando attraverso voliera, serpentarium, casa dei primati e mondo degli animali notturni.

- L'itinerario menzionato è offerto mercoledì, giovedì, venerdì, sabato e domenica. Lunedì il Crocodile Bank è chiuso e quindi l'itinerario sarà Zoo, Guindy Park e Snake Park. Il martedì lo Zoo e il Guindy Park saranno chiusi, quindi faremo Vedanthangal Bird Sanctuary e Crocodile Bank

The Snake farm is nice. Lots of snakes. Well-maintained. The zoo was fun. There is a battery vehicle to take you around. Kids would enjoy. The Crocodile Park was not well-maintained. All in all, a fun day and nice to see the animals.
We visited the Snake Park, the Crocodile Park, the Zoo. And had lunch. The Snake Park, while small, was the most enjoyable because it was the most well-maintained. The Crocodile Park was disturbing because the crocodiles were kept on small bright green, algae-filled lagoons. The zoo was OK. There was a battery vehicle to take people around. Saw some interesting animals but it was sad to see, for example, the tiger pacing back and forth continually in front of the small viewing window and one lonely giraffe all by itself. Lunch was great, South Indian meal. And we stopped for coffee because we finished early. My guide Ganesh, was very friendly and helped me by taking great pictures.
Excellent service and a good agenda for a day trip in Chennai. This is a good tour for families, and adults too to see a lot of different animals.
I was impressed by the attentiveness of our guide, Natarajan, and enjoyed the tour even more! I really enjoyed the Wildlife Preserve and Takhini Hot Spring tour.
Great tour of Chennai's wildlife places. The tour allows yo to do 4 places in a day easily, seeing a great variety of animals. Natarajan was a great guide, friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone interested in animals.
Natarajan my guide was fantastic, I was driven to each park I visited by our driver who was also friendly. Natarajan briefed me before each park and the history. As a huge fan of herpetology this was fantastic seeing the snakes of India. Photo of the day was seeing a white tiger! A really excellent trip
Ganesh was awesome. He helped us navigate stores as well as get all our tickets for the days activities! We had special requests for lunch due to allergies which he gladly honored these requests. He also didn’t take us to any shops where people try to sell us stuff that we truly didn’t want. We had a special request for a special item to take home and he negotiated for us and even got us extra items to give to friends. He was truly awesome and very accommodating! I would most definitely recommend a tour with Ganesh!
Very nice trip to the zoo in Chennai. We had very nice authentic Indian lunch and also a very interesting time in the snake park.
This guided tour takes you to a zoo, an urban national park, and a reptile farm. While the city location means the animals are in captivity, one of the things you will learn from each location is that India is working to preserve it's wildlife heritage. My personal favorite was the reptile facility. Watching the workers there handle live cobras and extract venom for making antivenom was hair raising. The snakes are returned to the wild after a few draws. Meanwhile the lizard collection is unlike anything I have seen, and it was noted on one enclosure that some of these lizards are placed in the wild to help replenish endangered populations. My guide Raj was highly fluent in English, quite friendly, and took us to a restaurant that served a very tasty South Indian lunch. A day well spent.
