Questo tour riguarda principalmente la scultura di Richard Serra. La scultura mozzafiato nella riserva naturale di Brouq nel deserto. Ras Brouq, una penisola situata sulla costa occidentale del Qatar, conserva i resti dell'occupazione umana preistorica. Le bellissime e iconiche formazioni rocciose di Ras Brouq offrono uno scorcio di un paesaggio preistorico. E nel mezzo vedrai la formazione rocciosa dei funghi, il villaggio di Zekreet e le rovine del forte di Zekreet.

Itinerario
Zekreet è un villaggio nel nord-ovest del Qatar. Il forte di Zekreet si trova sulla costa occidentale del Qatar, a 90 km da Doha. Il forte ha una disposizione molto particolare che permette di vedere le due diverse fasi di costruzione. In origine il forte era costruito come una semplice piazza senza torri agli angoli. In una seconda fase di sviluppo furono aggiunte torri ai quattro angoli esterni del forte.
L'artista di fama internazionale Richard Serra aggiunge la stupefacente scultura Est-Ovest/Ovest-Est al paesaggio desertico, portando l'arte alla gente. Est-Ovest/Ovest-Est è diventato un famoso punto di riferimento in Qatar sin dalla sua installazione nel 2014. Questa scultura mozzafiato nella riserva naturale di Brouq si estende per oltre un chilometro e comprende quattro lastre di acciaio, ciascuna di oltre quattordici metri di altezza.
Puoi anche vedere la spiaggia di Zekreet. Dove puoi vedere molte persone che vengono per il kite surf e il parasailing.
La zona si distingue per il suo insolito paesaggio di bianche scogliere. La forma e il colore del paesaggio sono il risultato dell'erosione di morbidi strati di calcare, mentre le bianche scogliere a forma di vento e le bizzarre forme geologiche, come colline a forma di fungo, rendono l'area unica e speciale per il Qatar.

Excellent tour of attractions outside Doha. Zubairi gave us a lot of information, was very friendly and careful driver. You’ll see a different Qatar. Recommended.
Our guide, Zubair, was very knowledgeable and was able to give us lots of information about the sites we visited and even sites along the journey which was very interesting. He spoke good English and drove well in a very comfortable and well air conditioned vehicle. Would definitely recommend!

An interesting trip out of Doha, with the highlight being Richard Serra's amazing East-West / West-East art installation. It was also worth seeing the striking landscape around Mushroom Rock. All-in-all, we enjoyed our time with our guide Muhammad, who was knowledgeable, polite and patient. We felt in very safe hands.

Excellent half-day tour of Western Qatar that included the Mushroom top rocks, East-West West-East monoliths, Zekreet Fort ruins. We also did a stop at the camel race track for a quick look around. Our guide, Zubair was engaging and well informed about the area and the sites we visited.
