Really great tour by Igor! He shared so much knowledge with a great sense of humour
Very nice and dedicated tour guide; he enjoyed explaining and showing us things. However, I found it partly difficult to understand all the English, as he spoke very quickly and with an accent in the Spanish manner. I would describe the trip more as a "historical excursion" than a "hiking route," because that is actually all it was in Gazteluace.
Such a fantastic way to see some of the beautiful Basque Country. We booked this tour for a day’s excursion from Bilbao and it was the perfect set up. An easy drive to three beautiful and interesting spots, really showcasing the beauty of the countryside and highlighting the lovely coastline. Our guide Borja was excellent - full of character, great stories and enthusiasm which not only made for a more interesting day but also ensured the day ran smoothly. It was a fast paced tour and a long day from start to finish, but the amount we were able to see and learn about made it well worth it. The proximity of each site to both Bilbao itself and each other makes the travel time seem very quick and easy, and doing it all in one seamless trip makes it feel very satisfying to have covered so much ground in just one day. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a quick and easy way to explore beyond Bilbao.

My friend and I booked this and contemplated canceling due to the heatwave. So glad we did not! It was our favorite part of our Bilbao trip. Dragon stone steps were brutal in 112F cloudless weather but well worth the views. Igor was a wonderful, knowledgeable, and mindful guide. He was efficient and had the van AC ready and running for us to minimize discomfort. There were only 8 of us, which was a good size group. It was bilingual, and I felt that I got all the same information as the spanish speakers. Igor was also flexible when we ran through things faster than expected (due to wanting to not linger in unshaded areas) and made wonderful suggestions for how to spend extra time (we did the museum about the bombing in Gernika). This trip was well worth the money.
Very well organized and interesting destinations selected. The tour guide explained everything very well and comprehensively. She was very friendly and helpful. She could answer all questions very well. She is very competent.
While the overall tour itinerary was good and is one of the few that includes the hike, this was marketed as an English tour. I appreciate other languages etc I chose this tour because it was offered solely in English. 3/5 people spoke English but Spanish was spoken 66-70% of the time. If you say it’s just English please keep it English only. I’ve seen others which advertise a dual language tour but that’s not what I signed up for

We do not operate this tour solely in English. Moreover, all the oficial explanations and guiding is done the same amount in both languages, we have a script that all our guides follow and we can guarantee that the explanations are given in the same way and amount equally. That being said, sometimes some clients ask in their language things directly to the guides or they have a conversation with the guides about different things during the tours at some moments when the guides are not explaining, and those ones are not translated. Wonderful all day tour with a lot of Basque history. Tour guide, Borja, was exceptionally knowledgeable and entertaining. We would highly recommend this tour.
The tour was very good. The best part was the walk up to and back from the hermitage out on the island. Gernike was especially interesting too, mostly for its history, both proud and tragic. Our guide Igor was very personable and knowledgeable about the area.
