We had an amazing time horseback riding under the guidance of Patricia and Shawn. They are very nice and friendly. My horse is a 14 year old Bronco and my daughter had a 36 year old Cleo. Both horses are very patient and sweet to ride on. We stopped at the summit and Patricia helped us take photos; she’s also the tour guide who gave us a couple lectures on the plants and history of Waipi’o and Hawaii. It was fascinating to learn all the culture and history.

We had an amazing time. Got to see the beautiful land and all local grown fruit. Learned a bit of the island and farming history. At the end we were able to eat some of their seasonal fresh fruit. I highly recommend this tour for everyone.

We like to find a horseback experience on every adventure and this one was incredible!! The guides were amazing! From the moment you arrive you are greeted with a sweet treat. It was raining and ponchos were provided. Then they selected horses for us all and our adventure began. The history of the island and the exotic fruit farm was shared along the ride. The guides were engaging and so friendly! We had amazing views, tasted fruit along the way and even in the rain had an incredible experience! Highly recommend!

so much fun! Been on many horseback rides around the world and this was by far my favorite, even beats riding on the beach. It was so cool to learn about the farm and explore everything on horseback and the views were amazing!

Please don’t miss out on Patricia and her wonderful horses. If you’re a beginner have no fear! Her horses are lovely and gentle. You’ll enjoy a horse trot through lush forest and scenes overlooking the ocean! She is very knowledgeable in the history and botany of the land. She is a true cowgirl at heart. If you’re looking for an authentic experience this is it. Her horses are Hawaiian connoisseurs as well. When the volcano is near eruption one of her horses will cough from the sulfur content in the air. We took their word for it and saw a wonderful eruption the next day!

It was fun. Something different. Great views of the ocean. The guide was very nice and informative. The horses were gentle. We enjoyed our trip very much.

I am 72 years old and I hadn’t written a horse and probably over 25 years. The experience was great. Showing us how to mount the horse and then going on the path and just enjoying the beauty of the farm was awesome.

I honestly didn't know what to expect going in, but this experience blew me away from start to finish. Absolutely worth every penny. Micah grew up on this family-owned ranch with these horses, and that connection shows in everything he does. He's hands-down the best and most knowledgeable guide I've ever had, and I've been going on horseback rides my whole life. Within minutes he noticed my stirrups weren't sitting right, shortened them, and flipped the setup to get the fit just right. Did it look cool? No. Did it completely transform my ride? Absolutely. For the first time ever I wasn't slipping, my knees weren't aching, and I could actually focus on riding. No other guide in years of riding has ever done that. It's the small details that make a big difference. My horse, Maka, was a bit sassy, which I love. He kept trying to brush my legs up against the trees and sashaying forward. Micah was right there coaching me through it, and honestly I feel like I learned so much more on how to be confident because the horse made me stand my ground and be more firm. The horses are well-cared-for and loved. This is a family ranch and you can feel it — these aren't rental horses going through the motions. The views are breathtaking, stunning 500 acres, with so many fruit trees and baby calves and flowers. I came as a solo rider and never felt out of place. Welcoming atmosphere from start to finish. For the experience, the expertise, and the scenery, the price is a steal. I will definitely be going again. Maybe next weekend!
