Started off with moving to a different pier due to weather and safety concerns, but they did shuttle us to new location. The Spirit of Aloha was a great boat with awesome crew! Loved the bento box, open bar and the entire experience which included gorgeous rainbows and sunset! Karin, Jackson and Brad were great!!
The reason I can recommend this Sunset Cruise is because it's less crowded than other cruise from center of Waikiki. It's nicer and bigger vessel as well. You can easily step on from the pier instead of soaking your feet in the ocean. There is a shoe box at the pier, and you can store your sandals before on board. We enjoyed a beautiful summer sunset!
First off: DO NOT GET THIS IF YOU WANT A DINNER CRUISE. The “””dinner””” they provide was a couple rolls, some cheese cubes, and a few pieces of salami. Not at all what’s advertised on Viator. The only reason this gets 2 stars instead of one is because the crew was very friendly and helpful; they would offer to take pictures and come around asking for drink orders. The sunset itself was very nice as well. They stopped the boat at a nice vantage spot to watch it fully set. If they hadn’t advertised a dinner with this cruise this would have been a 4 or 5 star trip, but I booked it for my family expecting to have an actual dinner with it and was sorely disappointed.
What an incredible experience. The Crew did a great job and very accommodating. The views of Diamond head at Sunset were Amazing.
Top top shelf. This was A-league at its finest. We booked this during a family trip to Oahu to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and we were blown away by the entire experience. These days it seems we need to be more and more careful when selecting tour experiences as they sometimes don't fully have the best interest of the guest in mind. Not in this case. For one, the cruise was just stunningly beautiful which is arguably hard to get wrong anywhere off the coast of Honolulu. But being on a catamaran under full sail just takes it up several levels. And then lets focus on the crew - they were not only obviously competent sailors, but they were completely focused on making sure everyone had a wonderful evening. There was none of the frequent cost-cutting we sometimes feel after paying for an excursion - quite the contrary - the crew generously offered on many occasions to bring a drink for their guests out on the deck of the boat. And although the cruise was scheduled from 5:30 to 7pm, the Captain just kept the boat out past the official end time because the sun was still setting and he obviously wanted to let people soak up the sunset. Bravo!! Just a few examples, but it just felt so nice to be on the boat and recognize that the whole thing really was all about maximizing everyone's enjoyment. I'm originally from Canada but have lived in Japan for over 20 years and have gotten used to just sort of expecting amazing service everywhere. Again I was just taken aback at how Nick the Captain and his crew were operating on this same level. I think I took over 100 pictures during the cruise including the ones that other guests offered to take for us. It was just such a super positive vibe, and I would encourage other tour operators to come, board, and learn how to run a 6-star experience. Not to mention of course that I would encourage fellow travelers to Hawaii to endulge in this wonderful experience. A big thanks to Nick and his crew for creating such an amazing memory during such a special occasion for us.
Do not book. This cruise falsely represents the menu and it’s NOT a dinner cruise. You get 2 small rolls at best and some cheese
The staff on the boat was great. However, the dinner menu was misleading. It stated we would have marinated chicken and we bought a lot of tickets for a rehearsal dinner. The menu was a small sandwich of 2 dinner rolls, cheese and a few grapes. I would NOT recommend this excursion.
Staff was great and very nice. However, the dinner description was completely misleading. We had a very large group of people who purchased tickets. Everyone we went with thought we were having a marinated chicken dinner, per the menu. However, it was just a small snack. Not a good value for the cost.
We had a wonderful time on our sunset cruise! Corrine and her crew were top notch. Drinks were good, snacks were just what we needed. Boat was clean. I’m prone to motion sickness and was worried I was going to be a disaster but the staff walks you through what to do if you feel queasy. Ginger Ale is your friend! Some of the BEST pictures we got on our vacation were from this boat. Gorgeous.
We made the last minute decision to go for a sunset boat ride and it was worth it. My kids love it. We had drinks and charcuterie snacks at the boat. 6/14/2026 5:30pm sunset
