A wonderful tour of Pompeii today with Alona. She got more in on our tour than others see during a full day. Alona is passionate about Pompeii - and it was infectious. Thanks you, Alona, for a wonderful and memorable experience. We will be back!!!
I toured with my 17 year old son and Daniela did a great job of keeping it interesting for both of us. Very knowledgable and clear communication. Managed to avoid the crowds too.
Angela was exceptional. She knew the areas of Pompeii that are most of interest and could help us navigate the vast site with ease. She showed us a wide variety of sights and was able to help our teenage children to connect what they already know about the Romans to what they were seeing and experiencing. Her English was superb and she was very friendly.
Having visited Pompeii before with a large group, I knew firsthand how indispensable an experienced guide is. It's an enormous site, you could spend days exploring, and simply walking around looking at things without context is a missed opportunity. Taking my family for the first time, I wanted to make sure we got the most out of it, especially for the teens. We booked a private guide for just our group, which made all the difference. Over three hours, we stayed on schedule, covered the highlights, and had someone who could answer every question thrown her way. Our guide, Daniela, was outstanding. With a degree in archaeology and deep knowledge of the site, she brought Pompeii to life in a way that kept everyone engaged. The whole family agreed, she made the experience.
Silvia is the best! A tour guide is a must for Pompeii, ideally a private tour. We were lucky enough to book one and did the faster version (2 hours) with Silvia. She was incredible. She has a background in both history and archaeology. We learned so much while she kept it fun and kept us shaded as much as possible!

We booked a private tour of Pompeii with Daniela and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Communication before the tour was excellent, with clear instructions on where to meet, and she got us into the site quickly and efficiently. From the very start it was obvious we were in expert hands. Daniela knew exactly how to navigate the site, taking routes that avoided the biggest crowds and queues, which meant we spent our time exploring rather than waiting around. Her knowledge of Pompeii was exceptional. She shared an incredible amount of history and context throughout the tour, bringing the ancient city to life, and every question we asked was answered in detail and in a way that was easy to understand. What we appreciated most was how flexible the tour was. There was never any sense of being rushed, and Daniela was happy to spend more time at places that interested us or adjust the route if we wanted to see something different. It really felt like the tour was tailored to us rather than following a fixed script. If you're visiting Pompeii, I can't recommend a private tour highly enough, and if you're lucky enough to have Daniela as your guide, you're in for a fantastic experience. She was knowledgeable, approachable, engaging and made what could have been an overwhelming site both fascinating and unforgettable. Highly recommended.
Our Guide Carmine was exceptional, he kept us away from the large crowds and hit all the key spots for us to help beat the traffic of people and the heat of the day. Recommend if you go to Pompeii to take a guide like this. It is a massive area to cover and if you want an educated guide, this was amazing!
