Benvenuti a Nissa la Bella! Ultima città a diventare francese, ha una sua identità con la sua bandiera, la sua lingua (imparerai alcune espressioni tipiche in Nissart) e la sua cucina. Attraverseremo i secoli e le diverse civiltà attorno a siti più belli degli altri. Inizieremo con il centro storico, il cuore di Nizza e le sue stradine, il suo famoso mercato dei fiori dai mille colori e profumi, saliremo sul sito dell'antico castello che proteggeva la città nel Medioevo. Faremo una sosta alla Cattedrale ortodossa russa di San Nicola, una delle più grandi d'Europa. Quindi finiremo nel sito romano di Cemenelum. Oggi è un parco pieno di ulivi con rovine romane e un colosseo dove le famiglie di Nizza vengono la domenica per fare picnic e giocare a bocce. Condivideremo un "picnic tradizionale" con specialità locali con introduzione alla bocce.

Robin was very well versed in the area and his love for his country was evident. His van was very comfortable and well air conditioned. We unfortunately didn't get to stop in Eze (cruise was delayed getting into port and there wasn't enough time) , but he took us to Nice and Monaco - very knowledgeable about the entire area.
