Expected to visit two cities and we were told only one could be covered as both cities close at 6pm. We were out of the airport by 3pm. Greeting is was on time but we had to wait another 30+ mins for the vehicle to arrive. 1) If they know the cities close at 6pm, they should NOT display hourly start times available till 6pm! If anyone would have picked a 5pm or 6pm slot they would have seen nothing! 2) I had informed of our flight info, landing time and airport pick up about 6 days in advance. They had many opportunities in the chat to let me that it would not be feasible to visit 2 cities. And I could have cancelled the tour within the free cancellation period or arranged something else. But no we were only told on arrival. These are dishonest tour operators. 3) I asked them about refund options since only 1 city could be visited. Driver made his calls spoke in their language and didnt reply us. I asked what we could do? No reply. We were stuck. 4) When reaching the city, we were told we had to pay separately for a guide in the city. Completely misleading to state tour inclusions as "Driver as as a guide". Our driver told us he was not licenced and hence could not. I told him that the decent thing the company could do was to at least pay for the guide after we find out about this inconveneince. He checked. They refused. The above is just the tip of the iceberg. Was expecting them to be prefessional since they were so responsive in the viator chat. Overall a horrible way to start our visit to Kathmandu. Viator also needs to check that their operators put up the right information!
Dear Jean L, We have pickup you from airport (which was not inclusive in your tour package, but we accept your request), after that we take you to the tour. (Suddenly Chinese vvip visits the city and they block the road for security reason and was lack of time to take you both places, which was not pre planned neither informed by any official and government even to us, they just imposed road block on that day. Finally you asked us to refund, we accepted your appeal of refund and did refund too. We have clearly mentioned that entrance fees to the cities was excluded. The city has own rules for all visitors to pay entrance fee that comes with guide ultimately. You need to write us about your complaints, you cannot simply ask the staff and made your own decisions. We being always responsive to you, but you suddenly appear after days to complain for no reason by writing negative reviews. You are tourist, we must respect you. But you can’t be so selfish to judge entire unforeseen scenario from your own point of view only. Yes. This Tour we can complete in 3 hours as mentioned in the tour details and was sufficient time for you to do, but it wasn’t happened due to as explained earlier. Since you mentioned that, we were so much responsible in Viber, you may have access to us to explain the scenario, but you have choosen different way (just wiring negative review). Writing negative review may satisfy you from Your immediate response but it cannot recover our losses. So, we advise you to be a real tourist, don’t simply judge a book from it’s cover. Worth it visit. It didn’t feel like it was first time. Guide explained the surrounding in excellent way. Thank you for making our trip fun. Highly recommended.
It was an amazing experience. I learned alot about the history behind all the buildings and monuments.
The guide was very friendly. I loved the guidelines and learned a lot of new things. It was a great company to travel with.
