Borghese Gallery Guided Tour with Priority Entrance. Booked through Trip Advisor website. Actual tour operator was Inside Out Italy. The Galleria Borghese is truly amazing - the two-hour visit allowed by the Gallery was not enough time! We signed up for this tour reluctantly as it was the only way to get in during our stay. However, it was unquestionably worth it. Frederica is a fantastic guide. Her extensive knowledge of as an art historian was very evident, answering questions from the small group in detail and pointing out nuances and distinct artistic styles in sculptures and painting. We strongly recommend the tour and Frederica in particular. Note: unlike the Tripadvisor instructions, Inside Out Italy obtained the actual entry tickets, and we did not have to redeem the booking receipt. Confirm with your tour operator.
This is one of my top rated experiences ever. Our guide was absolutely brilliant. She was incredibly knowledgeable & you could tell that she has such a passion for the art & the stories behind them. We learned so much in those 2 hours but I would 100% go back to do it all again. The gallery was amazing & our guide was exceptional.
Federico was outstanding. Not since the BBC’s Sister Wendy have we experienced a guide so engaging and informed about the subject matter. He started with the larger description of the museum, then each gallery, and how the art in each space related. He shared anecdotes about the artists and the times while also bringing to life each work of art and pointing out details in the stories as well as craftsmanship of each piece. Federico kept our entire group of varied ages engaged and curious through the whole tour of the Borghese Galleries. I’d book again with him without hesitation and am confident he brings the same proficiency to all of his tours. I studied Art and Art History in Florence during college and have had the good fortune to experience many, many guides in Italy. Federico is on the short list of the best. Also a note on the Borghese Galleries— very approachable and well laid out with an outstanding collection of art and sculpture. The Borghese Gallery tour was the highlight of our time in Rome.

The guided tour was particularly interesting: a presentation of the main works with just the right words to appreciate them without being an expert in baroque art. The 2 hours of the visit (far too short) only allow for a glimpse of the richness of this magnificent collection. Perfect organization. Quality welcome
