My family and I had a wonderful tour of Florence with Giuseppe. He picked us up from the cruise terminal and told us about the history of Florence and Italy on the drive over, we then toured Uffizi and Accademia. The commentary was insightful and really brought the art and history of Florence to life. Before the tour Paola helped us arrange tickets and booked us a meal at a local Osteria, which was my kids favorite meal in Italy! Even though the weather was hot and the day was long, we had an amazing time! Would absolutely recommend it!!!!
Grazie for your feedback, with the heat of these days wasn't easy, but you did it :)
We spent 4 hours kids friendly private walking guided tour with a professional guide and we learned more than we expected, details we would have never seen them by ourselves. Our chilrend loved it and we really recommend Paola ps she recommended the best home made fresh gelato in town too
Our tour with Paola was one of the highlights of our time in Florence. What we appreciated most was that the experience felt personal and tailored rather than rushed. We learned a great deal about the history, art, and culture of Florence, and Paola was knowledgeable, engaging, and happy to answer questions throughout the tour. One aspect we particularly enjoyed was being introduced to local artisans and historic Florentine traditions. Rather than feeling like a shopping excursion, these stops gave us insight into crafts and businesses that are part of Florence's cultural heritage. At no point did we feel pressured to make a purchase, and we were free to browse, ask questions, or simply enjoy learning about the craftsmanship. The museum visits were excellent, and having a private guide allowed us to go beyond the information you would get from a standard group tour. We appreciated the flexibility to focus on topics that interested us and to move at a comfortable pace. Everyone's experience is different, but ours was overwhelmingly positive. If you're looking for a private tour that combines Florence's art, history, and local culture with personal attention, we would happily recommend Paola.
Had a really nice time with Paola in Florence. We were just a group of friends wanting to see some museums, do something fun, eat good food, and she helped make it all easy. She knows a lot about Florence but doesn't make it feel like you're sitting in a history class. We also did a cooking class which was great fun. Not saying we became Italian chefs 😂 but we learned a few things, drank some wine, had some laughs and ate way too much. Paola was friendly, patient, and just very easy to spend time with. She gave us some good recomendations for places to eat and things to do after the tour as well. Overall it was one of the best parts of our trip. If you're going to Florence and want someone who actually makes the city come alive without taking things too seriously, I'd definetly recommend Paola. Thanks again Paola, we had a lovely time! 🇮🇹😊
was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and friendly throughout the entire tour. Paola made the history and culture of Florence come alive with stories and hidden details we never would have discovered on our own. She was also very patient, organized, and made everyone feel welcome. You can tell she loves what she does, and her passion for the city is contagious. Thanks to Paola
PAY and USE for €26.00/person the “Get your Guide-GYG” “skip the line” tours. Or pay Paola €400.00+ to be ignored and have an uncomfortable crappy tour. I felt Paola was made the minimum of efforts, seemed annoyed the entire time, and was never pleasant. I did not find Paola at all engaging or interested in us or any conversation, and what was most disturbing was she was on her phone the entire time, rather than focused on us. If it is a “private tour” then stop texting on your phone, nonstop. What was most displeasing was that we paid for a historical tour. But we were purposefully taken to her "friends" leather shop on purpose, David 2, who tried to sell me a coat for €5800.00!!!!!!!!!! We were "circled by sharks" for over an hour in the shop, David 2, and bombarded by essentially gypsies and pressured into purchasing, which we did not. She also took us to a perfume shop of a friend to try to get us to buy perfume, and then a stone cutter who was a friend selling €1,000.00+ stone cuttings made into photos. We paid for a tour of 2 museums, not shopping. A total scam. If I wanted leather, I'd go to Brunello Cucinelli, not a street vendor. And that was on my "time and dime." I feel Paola is very dishonest, just look at her other reviews. person,
I felt Paola was knowledgeable, and somewhat pleasant. I find her as a good person. However, I did not find Paola very engaging or interested in conversation, and what was most disturbing was she was on her phone rather than focused on us. What was most displeasing was that we paid for a historical tour. But we were purposefully taken to her "friends" leather shop on purpose, and other friends shops. We I do feel were "circled by sharks" for over an hour in the shop, David 2 leathers, and bombarded and pressured into purchasing, which we did not. I feel the tour was for the museums and historical buildings and history of Florence, not shopping at a "sketchy" leather shop. If I wanted leather, I'd go to Brunello Cuinelli, not a street vendor. And that was on my "time and dime." So though I feel Paola is a good person, that turned me off totally, and after the first day, i should have cancelled the second. But all my best to Paola.
Paola is a superb guide. We had a group of 4. She made lunch reservations at a wonderful restaurant, Hosteria Ganino, and guided us through Piazza della Signoria, Uffizi Gallery, and Vasariano corridor (instead of Accademia). There is an overwhelming amount to see, but she selected highlights, giving history and interesting back stories. Well paced, friendly tour.
Learned so much from Paola about the history of Florence and its beautiful works of art. Great experience! Highly recommend.
It was a great experience and Paola was very knowledgeable. She was also very accommodating and easy to communicate with. We felt confident and safe and learned a lot.
