Very informative, very personable guide Time flew by as we walked through history An amazing jewel of a park
My husband and I booked the 2 hour private walking tour of Central Park. , Edward, was the perfect guide to show us some of the highlights of the park. He is a native New Yorker and his love of the city shined through his presentation. As we asked questions he provided context and historical facts and stories. It was a perfect Spring day and Edward was the perfect tour guide for us. If you are considering a walking tour , request Edward, you won’t be disappointed !
The tour itself was good. I’ve been to Central Park hundreds of times, but I still learned a lot of new things. The reason for my three star rating was the guide. While he was very nice, provided a lot of info and was happy to answer questions, his presentation lacked polish and he was often befuddled. He would say things like “There were four people involved in this project, Mr A, Mr B, and I can’t remember the other two guys”, or he would answer what I thought was a basic question with “I used to know that, but I can’t remember now”. Honestly, it seemed to me as if gave the tour five years ago and not since then and was asked to lead my tour on an emergency basis because the person who was supposed to lead my tour got sick.
Our knowledgeable and friendly guide, Chris, made the magnificent Park come to life. We walked around the southern half of the Park and Chris pointed out sights within and outside the perimeter. There was no rush to move on from any particular landmark or sight and the route showcased the various landscape styles Central Park is famous for. Two hours well spent.
Very rich in content, Aaron was a great guide! Super interesting and recommend to anyone visiting NY
