We booked this tour, got a confirmation and paid for it. We got a 7:00am pick up time. We sat and waited for over an hour for our pick up. We tried several times to contact our operator. We finally got through and they advised us at that point that they were fully booked now and could not accommodate us. They cancelled our trip without even letting us know. It’s pretty brutal they can just do this the morning of, and even an hour after they were supposed to pick us up.

Tour operator has been very helpful and polite. Ninh binh is stunning. Trang An is beautiful but stops would be better instead of just a ride. Pagoda was amazing. Stay was adequate. Had to pay 300k extra. Lotus field is a delight . Avoid motor taxi - it’s a scam. 200k plus mandatory tip. Variety in food would be good. Second boat ride feels repetitive. Guides are more like escorts- some info and history can be included.

If you choose not to pay it, that's perfectly fine, and there will be no additional charges. - Avoid motor taxis: Our tour includes bicycle rental as mentioned in the itinerary. Any extra costs, such as motorbike rentals or taxis, are outside the program and are at your own discretion. This is clearly stated and not a scam. - 200k plus mandatory tip: Tipping is entirely up to you. The amount is intended for the hardworking boatmen and staff, and while a general amount is suggested, it’s not mandatory. If you prefer to tip less or not at all, please feel free to discuss this with your guide directly. - Second boat ride feels repetitive: Tam Coc and Trang An offer different natural landscapes. Tam Coc is more serene, with beautiful rice fields and caves, perfect for those who enjoy a peaceful atmosphere. On the other hand, Trang An features a more majestic terrain with ancient temples and a UNESCO heritage site, which is ideal for those interested in exploring culture and history. - Guides as escorts: We apologize if the guide’s communication didn’t meet your expectations. I booked this tour to see the highlights of Ninh Binh as it seemed so much easier to let a tour agency sort the logistics, and this was the best 2 day tour I could find. It didn't disappoint. Pick up was on time, and my guides Max on day 1 and Key on day 2 ensured everything ran smoothly. We had enough time at all of the attractions and the hotel I stayed at (included in the tour) exceeded my expectations. My favourite attraction was Trang An, but the scenery is stunning everywhere. The views from the Mua cave were some of the best too. I'd definitely recommend this tour for anyone who wants to spend more than a day in Ninh Binh.
