Vienna Coffeehouse Tour: pasticcini, bocconcini e storie locali

Magdeleine was amazing! We sampled sweets at four locations, learned more about the city and navigated to some very interesting neighborhoods outside the city center, and had a great time. This helped us push out of our comfort zone and limited exposure to Vienna outside the city center, without feeling like it was a lot of travel. Great variety of fancy / homey / classic dessert styles, with a surprise savory as well. Cannot recommend more!

Maria was a great tour guide. We really appreciated her knowledge of the pastry and coffeehouse culture in Vienna. It was a highlight of our trip!

I took this tour with Magdalena, who was absolutely awesome! She did a great job introducing us to different foods, the city, and the public transportation system in Vienna. Each food stop was delicious, and there is a savory tasting towards the end (so you can feel a little better about all the desserts!). I would 100 percent recommend this tour and Magdalena!

Wolf our guide was very knowledgable about the history of Vienna. Because the tour ended up just being three people in total, he customized the itinerary just for us. I didn't realize that dinner was included so when it came to dinner time, I was so full from dessert that I only had a quarter of my dinner. So make sure that you're extra hungry and that you save room for dinner. All the desserts were fantastic!

Wolfi blew it out of the water! I did this tour my first day arriving to Vienna and he not only filled our stomachs but taught us how to travel on the public transit like locals. I appreciated Wolfi’s ability to talk about the history of Vienna and also connect it with the present. The places he took us to were all very charming and the desserts were all delicious. I was stuffed! It was a great way to mix desserts, history and sightseeing in a few hours. Very grateful for Wolfi’s hospitality-book the tour, you will not be disappointed…come on an empty stomach.

Maria was absolutely amazing and the perfect person to introduce us to Vienna on our first evening in the city! Her passion for Vienna's food, culture, and history really came through, and we learned so much while enjoying incredible local dishes along the way. She was personable, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience feel like we were exploring the city with a friend. She even followed up afterward with an email full of recommendations, which was such a thoughtful touch. I would absolutely recommend Maria and this tour to anyone visiting Vienna!

No matter how little or how much time you have in Vienna, please book this tour! Go with an empty stomach and leave very full, very delighted and very informed about historical, cultural, social and culinary traditions in Vienna. Maria was an incredible guide and we had a fantastic time--highlight of the trip!

Our guide was Maria and she was absolutely delightful. Sho taught us how to navigate the city, educated us on the layout, structure and history of the city, food and customs, all without sounding like she was reciting a script. She was personable, informative, knowledgeable and responsive to our questions. The food was amazing! This was our fourth food tour on this vacation. We also did food tours in Prague, Krakow and Budapest. Maria was the best. Vienna has the best Goulash. After the tour, we were able to navigate Vienna’s transit system without any problem. She responded quickly to inquiries after the tour, making our entire stay even more enjoyable.

We had a GREAT tour today on the Vienna Coffeehouse Tour with Maria! She did an awesome job, taking us to various districts around Vienna, sharing her knowledge of the culture of each of these areas. The pastries and drinks we had along the way were excellent as well as the savory beef we had at one of our stops. Thank you again Maria for making the tour a memorable experience!

Wolfie was a great tour guide. He communicated with me days before the tour to confirm our arrangements (we made some mutually agreed upon adjustments), was prompt, personable, and did a lovely job of helping me get to know the city better as we snacked and ate our way through various locations by foot and by transit. I would recommend doing this tour towards the beginning of your trip because you may want to revist some of the areas covered. However, I went on the tour at the end of my trip and thought it was also a lovely farewell (for now) to Vienna.
