Nice tour of usual places. We were hoping for a tour of some of the more unusual, the side streets, the streets off the main road.
I thought the tour was excellent; you get to know aspects of the city that you wouldn't be able to appreciate on your own. The guide, Luis Chaves, was a very good guide; he explains things very well, and we had a very pleasant tour.
Really enjoyed the tour. The tour guide was excellent and they learned a lot about the city of Victoria. It was rainy and cold weather, but I hardly noticed as I was having fun.
We enjoyed our walking tour of Victoria and it showed us areas of the city of which we were previously unaware. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions. The content was quite heavily biased towards the history of both the island and the city. It was a brilliant thing to do to learn more about Victoria but it was three hours of standing and walking, so be prepared for that.
The tour was great! Richard has a rich knowledge of Victoria and its history. He is very light-hearted/humorous and made the tour fun. Richard also gives great city recommendations (e.g. additional things to see/do, food and drinks). I would recommend.
If you only do one thing in Victoria, make it this walking tour. Our guide Richard (assisted by Noah) were genuinely outstanding — knowledgeable, funny, and passionate about the city in a way that made every block feel like a story worth stopping for. They brought the history of Victoria to life with the kind of detail and warmth you simply can't get from a guidebook. Richard's storytelling had the whole group captivated, and had many suggestions for pubs worth a visit. Noah filled in many gaps along the way. Both were happy to share personal anecdotes and histories. The pacing was perfect, the route and weather was beautiful, and we left feeling like we actually knew the city. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Victoria — ask for Richard or Noah if you can!
