We used Alp Transfer twice during the five days we spent in Zurich. We had perfect weather for the day-tour to St. Gallen and Appenzell with Paul who proved a personable and knowledgeable guide. We also used Alp Transfer to take us from out hotel to the airport. At 139 Swiss francs, this was very expensive, perhaps twice what a cab would have cost. However, unlike a cab, the fare could be billed to our credit card. Communication was prompt during the planning phase and the driver was right on time, Our one negative experience in Zurich was with a cab driver on our first day. Alp Transfer eliminated all anxiety, was prompt, efficient, and friendly. I would recommend the company.

Zafar and Payam were our drivers to and from the airport, and their service was professional and outstanding. They were knowledgeable about the surroundings and gave us helpful insight about our trip.

The driver was very nice however the whole thing was very unorganized. Majority of the time we didn’t know what we were doing and would just be dropped off in a parking lot, and would be told to “go over there”. One of the museums we went to was closed the day we booked it and the tour operator never told us about it, made alternate arrangements or reimbursed us. We also didn’t receive any entry tickets until after we were dropped off at the location. For one experience, we were never even give. any tickets even though we were there, it was open and was part of the tour.
Like all of our trips, we wanted to both experience local and learn much. Our guide, Paul, is exceptionally good and amazingly knowledgeable. He made the entire trip informative, interesting and fun. We saw everything we wanted to see plus a lot more as he guided us to things we would not have seen by ourselves or with a large group. Further, he was entirely flexible on both time and itinerary allowing us to take a short side trip to Lichtenstein, about which he is equally knowledgeable. The trip and sights by themselves are spectacular but having Paul as our guide made the entire experience absolutely perfect.
