Itinerario
Ponte Scaligero: collega il castello tardo-medievale di Verona alla riva sinistra dell'Adige. Fu quasi distrutto da un bombardamento e in seguito completamente ricostruito, si presenta molto simile a quello originale
Museo di Castevecchio: si trova nell'omonimo castello medievale.
Arco dei Gavi: si tratta di un'elegante costruzione del I secolo d.C. dell'architetto romano Vitruvio, che, celebra la gloria della gens Gavia, importante famiglia romana di Verona.
Arena: fu costruita dai Romani nel I secolo d.C., in epoca augustea. Ancora oggi l'Arena è la famosa cornice della spettacolare stagione lirica di Verona.
Casa di Giulietta: vedrai il cortile della casa dei Capuleti, dove visse la famosa protagonista della tragedia shakespeariana, il balcone e la statua che auspica amore eterno.
Casa di Romeo: è un palazzo medievale nel centro di Verona. Fino agli inizi del Trecento fu dimora della famiglia Montecchi che, secondo leggende e testi letterari, era la famiglia di Romeo.L'edificio è privato, abitato, e possiamo vederlo solo dall'esterno
Piazza Bra: è la piazza più grande di Verona, è fiancheggiata da numerosi caffè e ristoranti, insieme a diversi affascinanti edifici
Arche Scaligere: è il cimitero degli Scaligeri, oltre a diversi sarcofagi, troviamo i tre meravigliosi archi costruiti per Cangrande I, Mastino II e Cansignorio.
Piazza delle Erbe: era il Foro, centro della vita cittadina in epoca romana. Il centro della piazza racchiude i monumenti che simboleggiano le diverse epoche di dominazione di Verona: la più famosa è la fontana, costruita durante la dominazione scaligera.
Piazza dei Signori: era il centro del potere di Verona. Una grande statua del famoso poeta italiano, Dante Alighieri, domina la piazza dal 1865 e infatti il soprannome di "Piazza Dante" è stato dato proprio per questo.

It was difficult to understand the tour guide who was Italian and gave the tour in English. He showed us basic historical sites with a little explanation. You could probably read up on sites to see on your own.

Guide never showed up to the walking tour. Called the office after 15 minutes of waiting, they stated the person had an emergency. It would have been nice for the office to let us know so that we didn’t have to travel to the city for nothing.
