According to legend, the islet was made over the centuries by local seamen who kept an ancient oath after finding the icon of Madonna and the Child on the rock in the sea on July 22, 1452. Upon returning from each successful voyage, they laid a rock in the Bay. Over time, the islet gradually emerged from the sea. Here you will get chance to visit Lady of Rock church and museum. Great guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. Kotor was amazing and we would definitely visit again.
Did a half day tour and it was wonderful. Our guide was amazing. We have done cruise ship excursions and this tour was better.

Tiho is all about making this a great day for you. The tour of Kotor, drive to Perast, boat to the island to see our Lady of the Rocks, we avoided crowds and learned a lot while seeing the amazing beauty of Montenegro. We elected to stop for lunch and he chose a fantastic local place on the beach. Best day!!!

Our guide was knowledgeable, and was willing to give us time to stop for refreshments, and he had recommendations for that. The boat ride was pleasant, and The Lady of the Rocks was worth seeing.

Our tour guide was incredible! He made sure we saw everything we wanted to see and added a few things we didn’t know we wanted to see until we saw them! He was very knowledgeable. We really enjoy learning the history of each place we visit. If he had been a history teacher, each of his students would have excelled. He gave us the history in stories and was wonderful. If you have the chance to hire him for your tour guide, I would highly recommend.
