I Musei Vaticani sono il museo nazionale della Città del Vaticano, a Roma. Fondate da papa Giulio II nel XVI secolo, occupano gran parte del vasto cortile del Belvedere e costituiscono una delle raccolte d'arte più vaste al mondo, poiché espongono l'enorme raccolta di opere d'arte accumulata nei secoli dal papi: la Cappella Sistina e gli appartamenti papali affrescati da Michelangelo e Raffaello fanno parte delle opere che i visitatori possono ammirare nel loro percorso. Sebbene i musei si trovino interamente in territorio vaticano, il loro ingresso è in territorio italiano, in viale Vaticano 6 a Roma.
Visita la meravigliosa Cappella Sistina e ammira gli affreschi di Michelangelo, famosi in tutto il mondo e considerati una pietra miliare dell'arte occidentale. La Cappella Sistina (in latino: Sacellum Sixtinum), dedicata a Maria Assunta in Cielo, è la cappella maggiore del palazzo apostolico, nonché uno dei più celebri tesori culturali e artistici della Città del Vaticano, inserita nell'itinerario del Musei Vaticani. Fu costruito tra il 1475 e il 1481 circa, al tempo di papa Sisto IV della Rovere, da cui prese il nome. È noto in tutto il mondo sia per essere il luogo in cui si svolgono il conclave e altre cerimonie ufficiali del papa (in passato anche alcune incoronazioni papali), sia per essere decorato con alcune delle opere d'arte più note e celebrate del la civiltà artistica mondiale, tra cui spiccano i celebri affreschi di Michelangelo.

Warning, this is a scam. The tour operator changed the meet point the day before, did not show, would not answer calls and then rejected my request for a refund. We were at the designated spot 30 minutes in advance.

I had the worst experience ever. We've book a tour for 350 euros and they just cancelled our reservation only a day prior.

The tour was meant to start at 9.30am to beat the crowds but we did not enter the Vatican museum till at least 11 am

Tour guide was outstanding. The Viator organization not so much. I must have received at least a dozen reminders of time and date. In the end they were all wrong. Fortunately the time was later than earlier. Not good.

The guide Filippo very professional and very prepared. But at the Vatican Museum he explained that we could either visit the papal apartments painted by Rafaello or relax with the group in the Sistine Chapel of Michelangelo. I think it is not possible to lose the painted apartments of Rafaello was a very serious failure.I was very sad and my companion too. For the amount paid I think it was fair a differentiated treatment. At first the tour was scheduled for 16.30 after they alerted that it was 14.30 (;14.00 in the agency) I think something wrong happened and the value was not appropriate for the tour done. Greetings. Excellent and knowledgeable tour guide, easy meeting place, perfect flow through tour with explanations! Sistine chapel close for conclave so tour ended early and no refund from viator. I’d recommend but maybe viator should have contacted us to adjust rate.

Although we misunderstood our meeting point and arrive late to the right location. They were still able to accommodate us at a later time. The tour itself was amazing and our tour guide was able to explain and pinpoint areas of interest to us all. I gave it five stars because it was a great experience and I would highly recommend it. I would also take this tour again if I have an opportunity to visit Rome again in the future.

Gabriel was our guide and he was fabulous. He was a great story teller with extensive knowledge of the history of the vatican.
