Our local guides will share the stories contained within the museum walls, the life of the Popes and the many works of art displayed there. Our tour begins at the entrance to the Museums, where your guide will take you to the oldest part of the Museums, where you will visit the collection of Roman classics and Greek art, the richest in the world. In the Belvedere courtyard your guide will show you the beautiful statues of Apollo, Laocoon and the Apoxyomenos of Lysippos. Your tour will continue to the Hall of Animals, the Gallery of Chandeliers, the Gallery of Tapestries and through the Gallery of Maps and many other treasures.
A narrow passage will take you to the Borgia Apartments and the stunning Sistine Chapel with its magnificent frescoes by Michelangelo, Botticelli and Ghirlandaio. Enjoy the famous Creation of Adam by Michelangelo with your own eyes as you explore the Sistine Chapel.
