incredible experience! despite the rainy weather, we were able to see 2 families of orcas and learned so much about them from Tobin and Wilma. professional photos were a great bonus too
Lives up to the advertised well worth the time and money
Please go out to sea with Prince of Whales! What a meaningful way to support their mission of marine life conservation. I went on a rainy July afternoon in Vancouver with a small crew. We saw a glorious Orca family (shoutout to Tasu and her pups/grown kids!!), seals, and sea lions. I had never seen whales in their natural habitat. Growing up in Texas, I was devastated to have seen Shamu in captivity for entertainment. The Prince of Whales crew of naturalists showed such reverence for marine life, respecting their boundaries and sharing their majesty with us. Shoutout to Wilma for sharing her overflowing expertise and passion for marine life on deck during the Orca surfacings, shoutout to Victor for his hospitality (giving me bags and ginger candy when I felt seasick), and shoutout to Tobin for infusing lightness into the trip. Thank you to the whole crew!! Be sure to bring many layers (it gets very cold and windy), bring anything you need for seasickness, and enjoy the hot cocoa on board!
Incredible tour, the guide Tobin was awesome, knowledgeable & a great communicator, the trip was so much fun even on a bumpy sea! Really well organised, we were lucky to see Humpbacks, Orcas & seals but the scenery was also gorgeous. Highly recommended!
I csannot say enolugh wonderful things about this company. From the person who answered the phone when I checked schedules to the email I recieved the say before my tour to check in, everyone was helpful, cheerful, and knowledgable. Our cruise was exceptional and the entire crew was committed to make this a memorable experience from our Captain Another, First Mate Connor, the crew Wilma, Victor, Tobin and even Kiefer (the new guy). In spite of the rain, it was a comfortable trip and we saw Humback Whales, Sea Lions and Orcas. The crew wwere all so knowledgeable bout teh specieis we saw and even were able to idntify the specific Whales and Orcas down to thei family history and migration patterns. Amazing! The photos we recieved after the tour were outstanding!

For Canada Day I wanted to do something special, so I booked a Whale Watching Tour here and it was the perfect way to spend the morning. The crew was friendly, knowledgable, and enthusiastic from beginning to end. Special thanks to the naturalists Tobin, Wilma, and Jonah - as well as captain and crew member Karl and Luke. Lots of wildlife was seen, including two humpback whales, sea lions, and bald eagles, along with stunning views of Vancouver's harbors and surrounding islands. Wear a jacket for wind and bring questions because there is lots to learn about the regions ecology from this team :)

What an unforgettable experience! Seeing both orcas and humpback whales on the same tour was absolutely incredible. Watching them interact in their natural habitat was something our family will never forget. The crew—Karl, Luke, Ashley, Dani, and Thomas—was outstanding. They were friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable, and their passion for the whales and the surrounding wildlife made the experience even more enjoyable. We loved hearing their stories, asking questions, and learning so much throughout the tour. This was truly one of the highlights of our trip. If you’re considering this excursion, don’t hesitate—you won’t be disappointed. We would absolutely book this tour again!
Thank you for your wonderful review, Amelia! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your tour with us and that our crew made your experience both memorable and engaging. We are so glad their passion and care for wildlife truly stood out during your tour as well. Seeing both orcas and humpback whales is such a special experience, and we're delighted you got to enjoy it. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back on another tour soon!
Only saw one whale from a distance. (thought these operators know what whales are around). Sailed to seal colony then another and that was it. Tour finished after 4 hours, not approx 5 hours. Waste of money.
Graeme, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We're sorry to hear your tour didn't meet your expectations. Although we have a very high whale sighting success rate, every tour is different. Our experienced crew uses recent sightings, reports from other vessels, and their knowledge of whale behaviour to give guests the best possible opportunity to see whales. However, they are wild animals, and their movements can change quickly and unpredictably. Our tours also include opportunities to observe other local marine wildlife, such as seal colonies, when conditions allow. Regarding the duration, our tours last up to a maximum of five hours, and factors such as wildlife locations, weather, sea conditions, and harbour traffic can occasionally affect the overall length of the trip. We understand how disappointing it can be when whale sightings are limited, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
Great time on the tour, loved how knowledgeable staff were on the wide variety of wildlife. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thank you for your 5-star review, Lisa! We are so glad you enjoyed your tour with us and had the opportunity to learn more about Vancouver's diverse wildlife from our crew. We truly appreciate your kind words, and we hope to welcome you back on another tour soon!
