We went in this tour on Sunday 9 August Brilliant 4 hour plus tour , whales where spotted 3 times Traveling past Vancouver island and north Vancouver where absolute bonus
Fantastic show of whales. Jonas was very friendly and a great host making sure we were well taken care of
Amazing tour! One of the guides, Wilma, was incredibly knowledgeable!
What a fantastic experience. The boat was busy but didn’t feel overcrowded. We felt we had plenty of room to see the whales. So amazing to see these beautiful creatures in their own environment. Tamsin our guide was so knowledgeable and gave loads of info about the animals. Lovely Jonah who offered to carry my coffees up to the deck during a particularly bouncy swell. And of course Captain Karl for navigating us to where the whales were. Truly the highlight of our trip to Vancouver.
What a wonderful experience for us and our young children (10 & 12)! We saw 2 Orcas, Humpback whales (near and far), sea lions and (briefly) porpoises. The naturalists (Wilma, Thomas & Dawson) onboard did a wonderful job explaining things about the animals, and did so in a really informative but enjoyable and relaxed way. Wilma also always made sure the complementary coffe, tea and hot chocolate was plenty and kept coming 😊 All-round, the service was top. The captain (Sean) did a stellar job in getting us to see what we came to see, but you never felt you were interfering with the animals in their natural habitat. Then we received the wonderful pictures a short while after the trip (courtesy of the 1st mate) , which are a fantastic "take home"! Absolutely recommended!!!
We did the 2.30pm half day whale watching tour from Vancouver. We have done other whale watching tours and in our opinion, these guys are a well run operation. The boat was clean and in good condition. Even though our trip was fully booked, you felt like there was plenty of room on the boat to move about. The communication on board was excellent, throughout the trip we were kept updated on the captain's strategy to maximise our chance of seeing whales. Jake was the naturalist on the upper deck and he was very informative and knowledgeable. We saw a family of 3 orcas, lots of humpbacks, harbour seals and sea lions. It was a really enjoyable trip and we would definitely recommend it.
The guides made the experience unforgettable. They for sure knew what they were talking about and informed us about anything we had even thought to ask. We saw multiple whales and seals and the cruise was very respectful towards the wildlife.
We had the most fantastic whale-watching experience on the 2:30pm tour on Monday 17th August. This was a real bucket-list experience for me, and it absolutely did not disappoint. The boat was clean, spacious and comfortable, and the whole crew — including Captain Anthony, Blue and Dawson — were friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic. A special mention has to go to the female guide who looked after us on the upper back deck. I unfortunately didn’t catch her name, but she mentioned having around 15 years’ experience. She was incredible — warm, engaging and genuinely happy to answer questions. Her knowledge was exceptional, and she patiently shared so many interesting details. She was also amazingly quick at spotting and identifying the whales! What really stood out was the crew’s obvious passion for marine life and its preservation. This wasn’t simply about finding whales for tourists; their respect for the wildlife and enthusiasm for conservation shone through throughout the trip and was genuinely inspiring. Although we didn’t see orcas, we weren’t disappointed. We saw humpback whales, harbour seals, sea lions, a bald eagle and lots of other birdlife, and the whole experience exceeded our expectations. The complimentary hot chocolate on the return journey was also a lovely and very welcome touch as it became cooler! This isn’t a cheap excursion, particularly for a family, but I genuinely felt it offered excellent value for money. The length and quality of the experience, knowledgeable and passionate crew, comfortable boat and fantastic-quality photographs made it worth every penny. Stunning scenery, incredible wildlife and a brilliant crew. A truly memorable experience that I would highly recommend.
The boat was comfortable, the guides were knowledgeable, and the whales were plentiful! We even saw an otter floating around. The fact that they took pics and we could just enjoy the sightings was absolutely amazing! If I come back to the area, I would definitely book with them again.
We had a fantastic half-day whale-watching tour with Prince of Whales Whale & Marine Wildlife Adventures at 8:30am. The boat was great, the team were friendly and knowledgeable, and they shared lots of interesting information throughout the trip. We were lucky enough to see humpback whales, which was an incredible experience! The crew also took some fantastic photos, so we have some wonderful memories to take home. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great wildlife adventure! 🐋📸
