Partiremo da Bari alle ore 08:30 per una giornata alla scoperta di tre gioielli della Valle d'Itria. Polignano a Mare è un borgo costiero famoso per le scogliere a picco e le acque cristalline del Mar Adriatico. Il centro storico, con le sue viuzze, archi e balconi fioriti, si affaccia su spiagge come Lama Monachile. Qui faremo una sosta di 2h30 ore. Ostuni, la “Città Bianca”, si erge su una collina con panorami spettacolari e il suo centro storico è un labirinto di vicoli dove le case imbiancate di "calce" creano un’atmosfera unica. Vi invitiamo ad approfittare delle 2h30 a vostra disposizione per provare pietanze tipiche del territorio. Infine, Locorotondo è rinomato per il suo centro circolare, le case bianche ornate di fiori e le "cummerse", i tipici tetti spioventi. Da qui si gode una splendida vista su vigneti e uliveti, famosi per i vini bianchi locali. A Locorotondo ci fermeremo per 1h30 ore. Dopo una giornata ricca di scoperte, torneremo a Bari/Polignano alle ore 19:00.

Polignano: Città natale del cantante Domenico Modugno, divenuto celebre con la sua “Nel blu dipinto di blu”, Polignano affascina con il centro storico ricco di tracce arabe, bizantine, spagnole e normanne, come i resti dei quattro torrioni di difesa che cingevano la parte antica dell'abitato. Un mare cristallino e la roccia ricamata da cavità impressionanti, scavate dal mare, sono i segni distintivi di Polignano a Mare, conosciuta come la “Perla dell'Adriatico”, a poco più di 30 km da Bari.
Ostuni, conosciuta come la “Città Bianca”, è un affascinante borgo pugliese che si erge su una collina, offrendo panorami spettacolari sulla campagna circostante e sul mare Adriatico. La sua caratteristica principale è l’architettura delle sue case, tutte imbiancate a calce, che le conferiscono un aspetto unico e incantevole. Al centro di Ostuni, si erge maestosa la Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta, un capolavoro dell’architettura romanico-gotica. La facciata della chiesa, decorata con un magnifico rosone, e l’interno ricco di affreschi e dettagli, rappresentano uno dei luoghi di culto più importanti della città. Dalla Cattedrale, si accede a una serie di vie che portano a terrazze panoramiche da cui si può ammirare una vista mozzafiato. Nel cuore di Ostuni si trova anche la Piazza della Libertà, un vivace punto di ritrovo circondato da caffè e ristoranti. Nella campagna circostante, è possibile immergersi negli oliveti secolari che rappresentano il cuore agricolo della regione.
Locorotondo: Questo che è a pieno titolo uno dei borghi più belli d'Italia è stato riconosciuto Bandiera Arancione dal Touring Club per l'armonia delle forme e la fruibilità del suo centro storico. In particolare, rimarrai sicuramente affascinato dalle splendide casupole bianche, dalle viuzze lastricate con la pavimentazione in pietra locale (le "chianche") e dagli eleganti portali. Ma non solo: un'altra peculiarità di Locorotondo sono le case dalla forma geometrica regolare e dal tetto spiovente, formato quest'ultimo da due falde fatte di lastre di pietra calcarea, le "cummerse". Queste casette sono oggi ristrutturate e proposte ai visitatori sotto forma di alberghi diffusi.

The bus will.take you to the 3 villages and give you documentation for you to go and walk around. Comfortable bus.
Bus is always in time, way for the group. It clean, there are mineral water that you can buy in the bus. The guide is telling most important things about the villages… and sounds very pleasant music during the trip.
This was a non guided tour but it got you to great destinations without messing with trains and buses.
very good value for money,clean air conditioned tour bus,very well explained, driver tells you what time and place the pickup point is,you get decent amount of time to explore area/town,be aware,no tour guide...self guided tour, would recommend to everyone. Only drawback we had was 2 loud ladies who were late returning in bus at last town,made all of us wait 25min. I would suggest the bus driver give passengers 15min max grace period to be late if not contacted and given valid reason!
I would not call this a tour…it was merely bus transportation. A booklet was provided in your choice of language with instructions to download a map of the different cities however our phones were not functioning and we were left without any info. There was no guide, the driver could not speak English, and we were dropped off in a railway station without a word.
It is really hard to get to Ostuni by bus or train with convenient arrival and departure timing. So this tour was perfect. The drop off locations were convenient and easy to get back too. The time at each city was good, we had enough time to walk to every area we wanted and also to enjoy a meal or snack. The bus was comfortable and the driver was nice.
Polignano is a beautiful city. Unfortunately the information in the brochure for where to meet the bus was incorrect. However once they were contacted the information was quickly sent to us. Ostuni and Locorotondo were OK, but less time at these two places would be better. I am glad we visited these towns although the self tour was somewhat confusing. Seeing more of the area on the drive was very interesting. All in all it was an acceptable tour.
Nice day except for the music on the bus. The speaker was above us and it was too loud and scratchy noise from a bad station connection. Be sure to have a phone connection for directions to get back to the bus after out walking around. The views were beautiful and everything very interesting. Take a tuk tuk in Ostuni. You will see a lot more.
The organisation of this tour was excellent. Easy online booking and directions for the departure point in Bari. Despite the awful weather forecast (we bought a couple of ponchos on the bus - well used during the tour) the tour was really enjoyable. I might have preferred to visit Monopoli rather than Polignano (following Lolita Lobosco scenes) . The day was long but it was an excellent way of seeing a lot of Puglia in a short space of time without the hassle of driving, parking etc. The booklet and downloadable guide were useful but the pre-recorded commentary on the bus got a bit tedious and on this particular tour the sound system on the bus was poor - buzz at high volume and particularly bad when music was playing. Would I recommend this tour ? Definitely. And also the Alberobello and Matera tour which we did later in the week.
