It was amazig! At first very slow and boring. He took a lot of time in the city, but once we got to the salt flats everything was great!
I slept on the bus and no one called me. I was lost for an hour and a half . Support didn't answer me. I took a taxi to the meeting point and nothing. Another taxi to the bus. I woke up the driver asked for help and nothing. I took another taxi to the bus station. And there I got help thanks to Titichaca Bus . A Cover came to meet me missing 15 minutes to the start of the tour ↓🏻
Disgusting the way the company speaks to you when you finally get a response. See my screen shots for proof. Ticket states 7am at bus station but you have to be there at 21:00 makes no sense. Don’t issue tickets for the wrong times. They ignore your calls. Again see screen shots I have uploaded. I spoke to multiple people including tour guides who stated the 7am ticket is for the salt flats and I should have got the bus the night before. I asked the company this and I got a response of 9pm. So was this for the night before or the date of the trip. Like I said I couldn’t get through to clarify. I tried to find the office from the WhatsApp address but couldn’t. I asked around the locals annd other travel officers and they stated it didn’t exist. I got a response at approx 4pm stating to just get on the bus at 21:30pm. No names were given of who would collect me from the station or information on the bus journey home. I also thought while I am at the bus station ill Check to see if I was actually booked onto the bus. Safe to say I was not I took a picture of the print out of passengers which I have blocked out last names and numbers for confidentiality. I ended up booking with feel Bolivia who have been great. Because I didn’t want to miss out due to this company’s incompetence. Their tour was the same but again so much cheaper and I was met with nothing but kindness from them. This company refused to give a refund despite to even providing the service hence escalating to trip advisor. The salt flats is an absolute must because it’s amazing but please avoid disappointment and go with another operator.
An amazing place out of this World. A must if you ever visit Bolivia. If you're in La Paz, you must go there and take the night bus to Uyuni. It's worth it.
The experience if the salt flats was wonderful - which was my objective. The logistics to make the happen were unsatisfactory. I arrived at the bus terminal with the instruction to go to 'Uyuni Salt Flats' and a phone number. The company was not there and the phone number didn't work. I tried to contact Viator but it was outside business hours. I then went to 4 different tour agencies and was finally able to get a ticket on 'Omar' which left at 9pm (vs 9:30 as stated on the ticket). Once in Uyuni everything seemed well but it was a different company than Uyuni Salt Flats. The breakfast was good but we then had to wait a couple hours before the tour began. After the tour, and back at the bus terminal in Uyuni, I went to Omar to get my return ticket to La Paz. I wasn't in their system. I was able to eventually book an independent seat with them and made it back to La Paz this morning. The ticket wasn't expensive but it the entire process of transport to and from Uluzi was a failure. I personally believe that 'Omar' just booked me the first ticket thinking it may have been on a mistake on their part or they just wanted to help me out since they had room available. That wasn't the case for the return trip though.
Good: The actual day tour was great, well organised and the guide was very knowledgeable. Bad: As a solo traveler who had booked onto the tour leaving from La Paz, I was very disappointed to find there was nobody to meet at the bus station before the bus left. The details about the tour were given just a few hours before. The information stated that there was a ‘meeting point’ in La Paz bus station, however, there was nobody there to meet. I collected my bus ticket and caught the bus. Again, in Uyuni, there was nobody to meet at the bus stop. I managed to navigate Uyuni to find the office. However, this had no sign outside and when I was inside, the building was given a different tour name of ‘perla de Bolivia’ which was not the tour name I had been provided with. After the day tour, the guides went home and there was no guide to show the way to the bus back to La Paz. Please note: Big improvements required as this product is being sold as an inclusive tour from 9pm in La Paz and only includes a guide from 10am in Uyuni.
The Salar is unmissible! Still no words to describe it. The trip was super planned, punctual, organized. And the guide, Lúcio, is a person that its definetelly an honor to know. Super fun and intelligent, a real aymara expert (being an aymara himself). Highly recommended trip!
