Seguirà una visita all'interno di un trullo, ricca di storia e cultura e una degustazione di prodotti locali (olio extra vergine d'oliva, taralli, vini, ecc.), per una visita completa di entrambe le città! What a magnificent town with spectacular views I’d recommend going early to ensure you have enough time to see everything. It’s seriously popular and the people are lovely. If you’re looking for food see my earlier post Vida restaurant - outstanding food and service
We booked a semi private tour with English guide Vito M, Vitotour on Insta. His depth of knowledge is unsurpassed as he studied these topics at the University. More important was his personal connection to these places, where he spent time in childhood. Multiply all of this with his entertaining style, careful attention to customer service and friendly manner and you will find the best day you will have in Italy.

We were lucky enough to visit Alberobello and Matera with Vito as our guide. On that day, it was just the two of us (my partner and me), which made the experience even more personal and special. Vito arrived on time, but with a private car, not a minivan. Thus, it was a private tour;-) our tour ended 2 hours earlier than expected. Somehow, it seemed to us that Vito only showed the minimalist program since we were not traveling as a group. Unfortunately, the extra mile was missing. For us, the tour was still worth 4 points. Both places were very interesting and were on the wish list.

Conducting the visit through Alberobello and Matera with Vitto has been a great experience. There were only two of us, and having him was a great decision, as it is clear how much he enjoys doing his job through the dedication and care he puts into each explanation. He knows the history of the trulli and the sassi in depth, detailing everything very clearly, and he also knew how to take us to the best points of interest while avoiding the most crowded areas. Had a great trip to these amazing towns. Vito is so knowledgeable and passionate about the history and beauty of the area. We had no issues getting into the mini van or his driving. Would recommend if you come to Bari.

The villages were great the driving was a bit much and it would have been nice to have more local history and stories during the drive.
