Itinerario

The "group" tour turned out to be a personal tour as I was apparently the only one to have signed up for the specific day. I greatly appreciated the fact it was not cancelled as my guide, Joe, was very knowledgeable, informative and engaging. He provided not only information about the areas and sites visited but added historical context as well.
Lots of variety in this tour. Stopping in Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume was nice, then walking the city of Aix-en-Provence was lovely. The wine tasting was good, but would have been nice if they let you by additional wines by the glass. Otherwise, very happy with the tour!
We stopped at the lavenderfields which was beatiful. This was the highlight of the tour. After that we spent 1 hour 45 minutes in Aix-an-Provence for lunch. There was too much time in the car, more than 50% of the trip was in the car. The winetasting was disappointing - we tasted 3 wines but there were hardly any information, and just a small sip of wine in each glass. This was the kind of winetasting you get for free when you stop by a winehouse, and did not cost the tour operator anything... I expected more for 120€, and would not recommend this trip to anyone.
Hello, We're very disappointed to read you comment.. You mention too much time in the car??? When you go from Nice to Aix en Provence this takes nearly two hours, then drive to the lavenderfilds is another hour and of course you drive back to Nice!! Did you try to find out the distance?? did you know Aix en Provence isn't next to Nice??? The only way to get there faster would be by helicopter!!!! You can not blame the driver or the company for this! Concerning the wine tasting : you honnestly expect when you try different wines they will fill up your glass??? This is the normal way it works ( we allways go to this specific winery wich is one of the most famous of Provence!!) and it's defintely the very first time we get these kind of comment. We are talking about wine TASTING. We would suggest you (in case you take another tour from Nice) to at least do a little research about where you go, distances etc.. In wich case we wouldn't receive these kind of comment! ( wich is not justified!!!)
My family and I had a wonderful time with our guide, Sebastian. He was incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating, and seamlessly provided the tour in both English and french to accommodate us and the french couple with us. We had an opportunity to see a lot of the region, both during the narrated drives, and during the tours. There was an excellent balance of independent sight-seeing and informed touring.

Our guide, Robin, took us on a great tour to Aix, along with a stop off at a winery and church visit. It was a long day, however the trip was well planned. Stops to tour Aix on our own for shopping and lunch worked well. As mentioned our guide gave great advice and clearly was expert.
