We had a wonderful time at Blue Mountains today. The scenery was beautiful, our guide, Ronnie, made it truly unforgettable. She was entertaining, and went above and beyond for everyone. I highly recommend booking a tour with for our future trip.
We are a family of five who joined the Ultimate Blue Mountain Day Tour by Wine Hop and Coastal Tours Pty Ltd, booked through Klook, on May 29, 2026. We were excited and full of enthusiasm for this adventure, but unfortunately, the experience started off poorly. The operator instructed us to be at the pickup point — 6:40 AM outside Hilton Sydney, 255 Pitt Street entrance — and emphasized that “this is a public tour, the bus cannot wait, so please ensure you are at your pickup location 5 minutes prior to departure.” We arrived promptly at 6:30 AM, yet the bus did not arrive until 7:00 AM. During that half-hour wait, we were left anxious, wondering if we were at the wrong location or if the tour had been canceled, as there was no notification about the delay. When we were finally picked up, I raised the issue with our guide and driver, “RONNIE”. She explained that she had a different timetable than the one sent to us by the operator, but her response came across as irritated rather than understanding. This created tension right from the start. Still, we decided to move on, lift our spirits, and enjoy the day. Ronnie was knowledgeable and drove safely, but her guiding style left us uneasy. She often rushed us, especially at Scenic World, which made the experience feel more like a race than a leisurely tour. The constant pressure detracted from our enjoyment and created a lingering sense of discomfort throughout the day. That said, the weather was on our side — sunny, clear skies, and pleasantly cool. The sights were undeniably beautiful: Echo Point Lookout was breathtaking, Katoomba Cascades was stunning, Scenic World had great potential if it weren’t rushed, lunch in Leura was enjoyable (and came with a surprise free drink), the town of Leura was cozy and charming, Cahill’s Lookout was impressive, Sydney Zoo was good, and the ferry ride back to Sydney was decent. We share this not out of spite, but as an honest account of our experience. In summary, the tour could have been far better. The operator should be more professional in setting pickup times and provide real-time updates to guests. Ronnie, while competent, could benefit from being more humble and making guests feel welcome rather than hurried. Above all, a tour should be enjoyable, not feel like a chore or a race. Compared to another Blue Mountain tour we took two years ago with a different company, this one fell short in terms of enjoyment, satisfaction, guide quality, and overall service. We sincerely hope the company can improve in the future.
Our guide Ronnie was fantastic. Quite informative and kept the tour on schedule. Enjoyed all the activities.
The tour was phenomenal. If you can get the tour guide Ronnie it will be a blast. She added some great fun and knowledge along the way. Even though the weather was not great she kept us informed and helped us enjoy everything. The Blue Mountain area is gorgeous, the Zoo was great, and the ferry ride was a great way to end the day. We booked the lunch with the tour and the small place we ate at, named Freudian Sip was great. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Adrien was a great guide. He was very personable and knowledgeable. The places we stopped at gave us a taste of the locations. We felt a bit rushed but understand there are only so many hours in the day.
Our driver/guide was great! Informative, on schedule at all stops, took care of everything. Wonderful views of the 3 Sisters. Scenic World had the 3 different “rides” making the trip into and out of the rain forest a breeze. Lunch stop was great. Picture with a Koala at the zoo was fun. Can’t recommend Peter and this tour enough.
This was a fantastic tour. Pat, our guide, was knowledgeable and extremely engaging. This tour is a great way to see the Blue Mountains. I highly recommend!
Absolutely a wonderful time. Perfect mix of so many things when you don’t have a lot of extra time! My tour guide was wonderful, Kris. So knowledgeable kept everybody together perfect amount of people very small and tailored perfectly thank you.
Great tour! Steve was an outstanding tour guide and driver! He fully explained everything and he was quite funny! Very knowledgeable and was great with the group.
The Blue Mountain trip was amazing!! Our tour guide David was excellent. So 5stars for that!! ***BUT*** WineHopTours admin was just difficult. I had my pick up confirmed in Bondi on booking. The trip was paid for they just needed to turn up as agreed. I’d been on a cruise without access to the internet. On land I was struggling with my emails and so I called the telephone number provided and they just don’t answer ever, you just get a message, saying to email them. In all of this an email went into my junk at 4:16pm the day before the trip, which I missed saying pick up was about a 20minute drive from the original agreed one. On the day of the trip the driver called me to say I wasn’t at the pick up. The driver told us his next stop and we got an uber to him. It was all stressful. None of this needed to happen if they had just answered their phone. Others in the trip were messed about in a similar way with last minute pick up changes. I don’t think they ever had any intention of picking us up at our Hotel in Bondi, even though I have my printed off confirmation of this. It’s so difficult as an international traveller when last minute changes happen. I’d have much preferred them to say a pick up spot on booking that they will always go to, so there are no last minute changes.
